We are heavy-hearted as we process the tragic shooting in our Raleigh community last night. Many woke up without the loved ones they started the day with yesterday.
Our prayers are with the victims, the families, and all those affected directly and indirectly. You can't replace life, but we want to stand firm with you and for you.
Raleigh is Home. This is where my wife and I met some of our closest friends and have had the opportunity to do life with some fantastic, strong people. In times like these, there are just no words to encapsulate all the emotions and feelings one may have. However, one thing we do believe is that we have a God to comfort us in the moments of our deepest pain.
Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 1:3, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God."
When words feel empty and emotions have drained every ounce of your strength, you can find comfort in your Father's arms.
As we continue to find ways to help, please join us as we pray for the families affected, our officers, and our city, which is burdened yet strong.
We love you, Raleigh.
