We have so many incredible volunteers who help to make our youth ministry what it is! We are challenging ourselves to fill up the fall volunteer calendars ahead of September 13, when fall youth activities kickoff! Sign ups are located in Realm, and can also be accessed via the link in our bio. Contact Claire with questions.

Youth and families are invited to join us for an evening picnic and game of kickball at Fred Fletcher Park tomorrow, Wednesday, July 1! We will be under the picnic shelter. Bring your own picnic dinner and come ready for some fun!

Applications for our 2026–2027 Youth Leadership Team are now open! ⭐️

YLT is a group of students who help shape and lead youth ministry at HBUMC alongside pastors, staff, and adult volunteers. This is a chance to serve your peers, build leadership skills, and help create meaningful community throughout the year.

We’re looking for students who are: ✨ Excited about youth ministry ✨ Ready to lead and serve ✨ Willing to show up consistently ✨ Interested in helping make HBUMC Youth
welcoming, fun, and impactful

Open to rising 7th–12th graders!

Upperclassmen (11th–12th grade) may also apply for President or Vice President roles, which include additional leadership responsibilities.

YLT members commit to: 📅 Regular meetings throughout the year 🙌 Consistent participation in JOY Class + UMYF 🏕 Retreat attendance 💪 Helping with setup, games, welcome, cleanup, and communication

Please take your time with your application…rushed or late applications will not be considered.

Confirmation 2026–2027 registration is now open! ✨

We are so excited to walk alongside this year’s confirmands as they explore faith, ask big questions, build relationships, and grow in their understanding of what it means to follow Jesus in the United Methodist tradition.

Confirmation is not about “checking a box” - it is about each student thoughtfully exploring and confirming their own faith journey. Throughout the year, students will participate in weekly sessions, connect with mentors, serve in worship, and build meaningful community together.

📅 Kick-Off Sunday: September 13, 2026 📝 Registration deadline: August 31, 2026

Students, parents, and mentors should all plan to attend our kick-off gathering during the Sunday School hour on September 13!

Please read through all expectations and commitments carefully before registering. We can’t wait for a meaningful and Spirit-filled year together 💙

We’re keeping several opportunities open all summer long so your family has plenty of time to review details, pray, and discern involvement in things like Confirmation and Youth Leadership Team 💛

🏖️ Fantasy Lake sign-ups are also open June 1-August 7 (Trip date: August 16!) Open to all youth, including rising 6th graders! 🎉
