Church of the Nativity

Church of the Nativity An Episcopal parish in North Raleigh. All are welcome! Sunday 10:30 services @ nativityonline.org.

At Church of the Nativity, we open our arms to others seeking faith in Jesus Christ, bearing witness to the fact that we all are God’s children. We relish our broad mix of generations and cultures, and wide range of thoughts and beliefs. Our thriving parish life is the reason we often are called “the church of the activity” – we consistently can be found enjoying each other at various events, fest

ival, concerts, classes, fundraisers, and meals. Church of the Nativity has a solid history of undertaking substantial outreach programs that benefit our community and our world. Because of our outward focus, we often attract people to our church who want to help others. We are committed to:

· Eucharistically centered worship

· Active outreach and evangelism

· Striving for peace and justice

· Fostering spiritual growth

· Supporting one another in this parish family

· Nurturing children in the knowledge and love of God

· Returning to God our gifts of time, talent, and treasure

It's time to register for Vacation Bible School, July 19–23! This year’s theme is Kingdom Quest, an adventure-focused VBS that invites children to explore what it means to seek God’s kingdom through scripture, worship, service, and friendship. We’re excited to once again partner with North Raleigh Presbyterian Church, with VBS taking place on their campus this summer. Mark your calendars now and register to participate. Volunteer opportunities coming soon.

This Sunday, June 7, Nativity celebrates Graduation Sunday after the 10:30 service, honoring both our eighth-grade students and graduating seniors. Eighth graders are invited to wear school colors, and seniors are encouraged to wear academic regalia. Graduates will join the procession, receive a special blessing, and be celebrated at a cookout following the service. Families and friends are warmly invited!

After Sunday, May 31, Children’s Formation will pause for the summer and resume the Sunday after Labor Day with a new curriculum, The Peace Table. During this pause, as Nativity participates in the Diocese of North Carolina’s Let the Children Come discernment cohort, we’ll experiment with new ways to engage children more fully in worship as active members of the Body of Christ. Thank you to all our volunteers for another wonderful year of helping our children grow in faith!

We celebrated the Feast of Pentecost today! 🎉🎂🥳. The Feast commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles and other followers of Jesus, when all spoke in their own language and the Church was born. Happy Birthday to the Church!
