This week in IDC Kids, we are looking at John 3. We'll see how John Pointed to Jesus and reminded everyone that "He must increase, but I must decrease." It’s a beautiful picture of humility and keeping our eyes on the Messiah!

Speaking of pointing kids to Jesus, we have a great opportunity to refresh the spaces where our littlest ones learn about Him! Join us for our Preschool Classroom Work Day. Whether you’re a DIY expert or just have a helping hand, we’d love your help getting our classrooms ready for a great summer of ministry.

This week, we are exploring the story of Jesus and Nicodemus from John 3. It’s a beautiful conversation where Jesus explains what it means to be "born again"—reminding us that true life and transformation come only through Him!

A Special Milestone:
On a personal note, I’m also celebrating my anniversary this week! 🥂 Just as Nicodemus was invited into a "new life" through Christ, I’m so grateful for the way marriage is a daily journey of walking in that newness together—learning to love, serve, and grow in the grace that Jesus so freely gives us.

Checking in at Home:
Take a look at the full post for this week's Family Talking Points and the Christ Connection to see how Nicodemus’s curiosity leads us straight to the heart of the Gospel in John 3:16. We hope these resources help your family dive deeper into the truth that anyone who believes in Jesus will receive eternal life!

Dear families, Jesus’ conversation with Nicodemus reveals the Lord’s patience and kindness toward us as we earnestly seek Him. Though Nicodemus had heard Christ’s teachings, he had not yet placed f…

To all the moms and mother-figures in our community: we are so grateful for you! We hope you have a wonderful weekend feeling deeply loved and appreciated for all the ways you serve your families and our church.

In this week’s lesson, "Jesus at Passover," we see Jesus demonstrate His authority and holiness by cleansing the temple. It’s a powerful reminder that Jesus came to take away our sins—a work He completed on the cross so that we might be cleansed and worship Him forever. 📖✨

Check out the full post for this week's Family Talking Points and Christ Connection to continue the conversation at home!

Dear families, Jesus’ cleaning of the temple reveals His holiness as the Messiah and His willingness to take on our sin so that we, too, may be cleansed. In this passage, Jesus demonstrated His des…

Hey IDC Kids Families! 👑
This week, our preschoolers are learning a tough but important story: The Northern Kingdom Was Destroyed. Because the people of Israel continually turned away from God, He eventually allowed them to be conquered.

The Christ Connection ✝️
The kingdom of Israel was destroyed because of sin. We all sin against God and deserve to be separated from Him, but God sent Jesus to die in our place! Because of Jesus, everyone who trusts in Him is forgiven and will never be removed from God’s presence.

Talk About It 💬

Ask: "When we don’t listen to God, what can we do?" (Pray and ask for forgiveness!)

Big Picture Question: Why do Christians continue to sin? Because we still have hearts that want to sin.

Memory Verse 📖

"You must follow the LORD your God. You must keep his commands and listen to him." — Deuteronomy 13:4

Unit 14, Session 4 Dear families, Hoshea was an evil king in the long line of the evil kings of Israel. In Hoshea’s ninth year as king, the king of Assyria captured Samaria, put Hoshea in prison, a…

He is risen, but who is Jesus who died for me?

That is our Big Picture Question this week! As we celebrate Easter, remind your children that we don’t just worship a historical figure; we follow a living Savior who rose again to lead us!

Find some Family Talking Points and a Christ Connection to help you navigate these big truths at home today on IDCKids.com.

The King has arrived! 👑

This week in IDC Kids, we will pop out of the old testament and celebrate Palm Sunday. We will learn about the day Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey. While the crowds cheered with palm branches, Jesus knew He was on His way to the cross to rescue us.

Hey IDC Kids Families! 📖
This week, our preschoolers are learning about the prophet Hosea. God used Hosea’s life to show a beautiful picture of His own "never-stopping, never-giving-up" love for His people, even when they turn away.

The Christ Connection ✝️
Hosea’s story points us straight to Jesus! Just as Hosea bought back his wife and brought her home, Jesus paid the debt for our sin on the cross. When we turn to Him, He brings us into His family forever.

Talk About It 💬

Ask: "Even when we don't love God perfectly, does He still love us?" (Yes!)

Big Picture Question: Why do Christians continue to sin? Because we still have hearts that want to sin. (But Jesus is always faithful to us!)

Memory Verse 📖

"You must follow the LORD your God. You must keep his commands and listen to him." — Deuteronomy 13:4

Unit 14, Session 3 Dear families, Although God had been faithful to the people of Israel, they were not faithful to God. The Israelites continued to disobey God, following worthless idols and actin…

Hey IDC Kids Families! 🐋
This week, our preschoolers are learning about Jonah. While Jonah tried to run away from God’s plan, we see that God is full of mercy—not just for Jonah, but for the people of Nineveh, too!

The Christ Connection ✝️
Jonah spent three days inside a great fish so the people of Nineveh could hear God's message and be saved. In an even greater way, Jesus was in the tomb for three days so that we could hear the Gospel, turn from our sin, and be saved!

Talk About It 💬

Ask: "God loves everyone and wants them to trust Him. Who did He send to rescue us from our sin?" (Jesus!)

Big Picture Question: Why do Christians continue to sin? Because we still have hearts that want to sin.

Memory Verse 📖

"You must follow the LORD your God. You must keep his commands and listen to him." — Deuteronomy 13:4

Unit 14, Session 2 Dear families, Jonah was a prophet sent by God to confront the people of Nineveh regarding their sinful ways. Jonah, however, did not immediately obey God’s command. In fact, Jon…
