🤠 LEADERSHIP SPOTLIGHT — PASTOR SAM ❤️

Where do we even begin with this guy?!

Cowboy, retired Fire Chief, EMT instructor, CrossFit coach, grandpa, and somehow, he still finds time to be our favorite pastor! Seriously, is there anything this man can’t do? 😂

If you know Pastor Sam, you know he’s just as comfortable at the rodeo as he is behind the pulpit. Whether he’s serving as Vice President of the Roy Rodeo Association, talking about Jesus at the local taproom, or camping with his grandkids, he’s just Sam. A regular guy with a big heart for Jesus and people.

After a lifetime in firefighting and emergency medicine, he’s got no shortage of stories, and if you’ve heard him preach, you’ve probably heard a few! Somehow, he always brings them back to Jesus.

God put the little city of Rainier on Sam’s heart, but let’s just say Sam had a few questions about that plan! 😂 After helping start three churches already, he wasn’t exactly jumping at the chance to do it a fourth time. He may have tried to argue with God about it, but we all know who won that conversation! And here we are, with The Well Rainier becoming church number four and a pastor who has a whole lot of love for this little town and the people in it. ❤️

October may be Pastor Appreciation Month, but we think Sam deserves a little appreciation all year long!

Pastor Sam, thank you for being our pastor, our friend, and one heck of an example of loving people like Jesus does. We’re sure glad God brought you to Rainier! ❤️

“On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross, the emblem of suffering and shame…”

There is something about those words that never gets old.

The cross was meant to be a place of suffering and death. But Jesus turned it into a place of forgiveness, mercy, and hope.

On that cross, a dying thief found grace. A Roman soldier recognized who Jesus really was. And the curtain that separated us from God was torn in two.

What looked like the darkest day in history became the day God opened the way back to Himself!

This Sunday at The Well, we're going to look at what happened when Jesus took His last breath and why the cross still changes lives today.

Maybe you've been away from church for a while. Maybe you've never really understood what Jesus did for you. Or maybe you just need to be reminded how much God loves you.

I want to personally invite you to join us this Sunday. And don't come alone! Invite a friend, a neighbor, or someone who needs a little hope in their life.

You don't have to have everything figured out to walk through our doors. Just come as you are.

In a world full of different paths, there is only ONE way that leads to eternal life. ❤️ Jesus is our hope, our truth, and our firm foundation. Whatever road you’re walking today, keep your eyes on Him. He is the Waymaker! 🙌🧡

So grateful for this incredible leadership team!

What a blessing to attend the Foursquare Conference together and serve alongside people who love Jesus so deeply. Jesus is our Waymaker, and I can’t wait to see what He has in store for The Well Rainier!

LEADERSHIP SPOTLIGHT — CASSIE ✨

If you’ve spent much time around The Well, you know Cassie is one of those people who is almost always doing something to help someone else.

As our Executive Director, she carries so much of what keeps things running — and a lot of it happens quietly in the background. The phone calls, messages, planning, organizing, problem-solving, checking in on people, remembering the details, and jumping in when something needs to be done.

And then Sunday comes around, and she’s one of the familiar faces up front keeping all of us in the loop with announcements and making sure we actually know what’s going on around here. 😄

She also pours so much into our kids and youth. She serves alongside Ben with our youth and alongside Ben and Sylvia in Children’s Ministry — loving them, encouraging them, laughing with them, and most importantly, pointing them to Jesus.

That’s what we love about Cassie. She doesn’t just fill positions or complete a list of tasks. She loves people. She loves this church. And she loves Jesus. 🤍

Cassie, we see the long hours. We see the things you carry that most people never know about. We see how often you step in and say, “I’ll help.” And we see the love behind it all.

Thank you for loving The Well so faithfully. Thank you for loving our kids and teenagers. Thank you for all the little things and the really big things. We are so grateful God gave us YOU. ❤️

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.” — Colossians 3:23
