Why is Sunday School Important for Children?

1. Kids learn that church is a fun safe place.
2. Children are taught by Christian adults.
3. Children build healthy relationships with other churched children.
4. Children learn from other adults in a creative environment, other than Mom.
5. Parents build relationships to help you continue to minister to your children at home.
6. Lessons reinforce material covered at home.
7. Sunday School provides a safe place for faith based discussions outside the home.

Sunday, December 29, 2024 Kidz Zone Sunday School Hour 9:45-10:45 - We will pull out our Party Blowers to play a game during our lesson. God is eternal and infinite! He has no beginning or end! We will hold up the number of fingers that responds to the correct answer. Then on cue, we shout out the BIG IDEA:

"Trust God, He Never Makes Mistakes,"

then blow our Party Blowers!

P.S.: You are welcome to bring 2-3 small items to go in your time capsule. Ideas: Favorite Bible Verse, small toy, hair ribbon, photo or etc...

Sunday, December 29th: During the Sunday School Hour, the children will make a time capsule that can be buried in the backyard or put up in a cabinet. Please feel free to bring a small toy, picture or other small items to place in the capsule. Watch tomorrow for further information! 🗽⏳🎊

December 8, 2024 Kidz Zone Sunday School

Luke 2:4-6 "And Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the town of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child. And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth."

We will watch Minno - Bible Stories for Kids, "The Birth of Jesus." The children will have the opportunity to create a cardboard nativity to take home and an ornament. If time allows, we will play the marshmallows and Solo cups game. Every student in attendance will receive a treat bag with a small toy and a craft project. Snack will be Little Debbie's Christmas Tree Cakes.

Tomorrow is Turkey Bowling Day @ Kidz Zone @ First Methodist Church Rainbow City during the Sunday School Hour at 9:45. We will watch a video on The Lord's Prayer. We have flashcards and a fill-in-the-blank. Snack is iced bakery cookies. Treat bags for all!

KidsZone Sunday School Class will be Turkey Bowling Sunday, November 24th! Children may select either a frozen turkey or a frozen cornish hen to use as a ball. The child that knocks down the most pins using the cornish hen wins the cornish hen! The child that knocks down the most pins using the turkey wins the cornish turkey! Be there or miss out on the fun!
