Yesterday at Grace Community Fellowship, Pastor Joe brought a powerful message from James 4 called “Anchored Affections” — reminding us that our hearts can’t be anchored in both the world and Christ at the same time.

Friendship with the world leads to conflict, pride, and drifting from God… but humility, repentance, and drawing near to Christ leads to grace, peace, and true life.

“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” — James 4:8

This was a strong reminder to examine where our affections truly are anchored. Are we pursuing the things of this world… or pursuing Christ above all else?

If you missed the message yesterday, take some time this week to read James 4:1–10 and ask the Lord to search your heart.

This Sunday at Grace Community Fellowship, Pastor Joe brought us to a powerful heart-check in James Season 2: A Faith That Walks — “Worldly Wisdom vs. Godly Wisdom.”

James reminds us that real faith doesn’t just talk right… it lives right.

Are we operating from worldly wisdom—driven by selfish ambition, jealousy, and disorder…Or are we walking in godly wisdom—pure, peaceable, gentle, full of mercy, unwavering, and rooted in Christ?

When conflict comes, what comes out of us reveals what rules us.

Worldly wisdom says: “Me first.”
Godly wisdom says: “God first.”

True wisdom isn’t proven by what we claim… but by how we live.

“Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom.” – James 3:13

Let’s be people who don’t mirror the chaos of the world… but the character of Christ.

Pastor Joe continued our James: Season 2 series this week with a powerful message from James 3:1–12 — Taming the Tongue.

Our words reveal our hearts. Pastor Joe challenged us to see that the tongue has incredible power—to direct, destroy, deceive… or, when surrendered to Christ, to encourage, heal, restore, and proclaim the Gospel.

When life presses in, what comes out?
James reminds us that a faith that truly walks with Jesus will be evident not only in our actions, but also in our speech.

“Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips.” – Psalm 141:3

This message was a strong reminder that our words matter, and a tongue surrendered to Jesus can become a powerful tool for God’s glory.

If you missed Week 3, take time to catch up and be challenged by this timely word from Pastor Joe as we continue through James: Faith That Walks.

We have kicked off Season 2 of our series in James: A Faith That Walks.

This week, Pastor Joe walked through James 2:14–26, where Scripture challenges us with a direct and searching question:
Is your faith alive… or is it only words?

James makes it clear that real, saving faith does not stay hidden. It shows up in how we live, how we love, and how we respond to the needs around us. Dead faith talks—but living faith acts.

We looked at:
• The marks of dead faith—belief that never moves
• The evidence of living faith—seen in obedience and action
• Biblical examples like Abraham and Rahab, whose faith was proven by what they did

This is a message that calls each of us to examine our lives honestly in light of God’s Word.

Are you walking out your faith… or just talking about it?

ALIVE — The Gospel is Alive!

Yesterday we closed out our ALIVE series at Grace Community Fellowship, and we ended where everything begins… and what everything for a believer centers on:

The Gospel!

Because Jesus is alive, the GOSPEL IS ALIVE!

Romans 1:16 reminds us, the Gospel is “the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.”

That means:

* It still saves the lost
* It still transforms lives
* It still strengthens believers
* And it will carry us all the way to eternity

We were reminded that the Gospel is not something we move past… it is something we live in daily. It is God’s power in every area of our lives—our struggles, our growth, our purpose, and our future.

So here is the question we all have to wrestle with:

Are you living like the Gospel is alive… or treating it like it’s behind you?

If you missed the message, we would love for you to watch it.

If you are looking for a church home or want to learn more about what it means to follow Christ, we would love to have you join us.

🔥 THE CHURCH IS ALIVE! 🔥

Last Sunday at Grace Community Fellowship, Pastor Joe walked us through Ephesians 2:1–10 and reminded us of this truth:

👉 Because Jesus is alive… the Church is alive.

We were confronted with the reality that apart from Christ, we are dead in our sin—but then comes the turning point:

👉 “But God…”

Because of His love and mercy, He made us alive together with Christ—not by works, but by grace.

And that changes everything.

• We are no longer who we used to be
• We are no longer slaves to sin
• We are now His workmanship
• We are saved for a purpose

👉 Does your life reflect that you are truly alive in Christ?

People who are alive don’t live like they’re still dead.

Join us this Sunday as we continue our ALIVE series! 🙌

EASTER CHANGES EVERYTHING.

This past Sunday, we opened the Word and were reminded of something we can never move past…

The Gospel is not just good advice—it is the power of God.

It is the power that:

Brings dead hearts to life
Breaks the chains of sin
Restores what was lost
And gives eternal hope through Jesus Christ

Scripture says, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes…” (Romans 1:16).

That means this message isn’t weak.
It isn’t optional.
And it isn’t just for Easter Sunday.

It is the only message that can truly save and transform a life.

Because of the resurrection, sin does not win.
Death does not win.
And your story is not over.

If you have questions, need prayer, or just want to talk—reach out and if you are looking for a church, we would love to have you at Grace Community Fellowship.

This past Sunday at Grace Community Fellowship, Pastor Joe challenged us with a powerful message: “Deploy” from Matthew 28:16–20.

We were reminded that the mission isn’t optional—it’s our calling.

👉 The gospel isn’t meant to stay with us—it’s meant to go through us.
👉 We are empowered by the Spirit to reach our neighbors and the nations.
👉 It’s not just about what we say… it’s how we live—show and tell.

The question is simple, but weighty:
Are we actually going?

Because deploying the gospel is rarely convenient… but it is always worth it.

“You are the answer to someone’s prayer.”

🔥 And we’re just getting started…

Join us this Easter as we launch a brand new series: ALIVE!
Jesus is ALIVE.
The Church is ALIVE.
And the Gospel is ALIVE.

We’d love to have you with us.

✨ EPIC CHRISTMAS – The Final Message ✨

God’s Epic Provision, Once for All
📖 Philippians 2:6–11

Yesterday we concluded our Epic Christmas series by standing in awe of the heart of Christmas itself—not sentiment, not tradition, but the once-for-all provision of God through Jesus Christ.

From eternity past to a manger… from glory to humiliation… from obedience to death on a cross—Jesus did what no one else could ever do. He paid for sin fully, finally, and forever. No other sacrifice is needed. No other way exists. Christ alone saves.

But this final message wasn’t just about what Christ has done—it was about how that truth must shape our lives today.

- Because Jesus humbled Himself, we are called to humility.
- Because He obeyed the Father, we are called to obedience.
- Because He loved sacrificially, we are called to love one another deeply.
- Because He pressed forward to the cross, we are called to press on with focus and purpose.

🎄 Christmas reminds us that God stepped into our world.
✝️ The cross proves the cost of our redemption.
👑 And Christ now reigns as Lord over all.

As we close this year and look toward the next, the question remains:
What will you do with God’s epic provision?

“Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 2:5)

Press on!
