Romans 6:5–7
For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin; for he who has died has been justified from sin.

Sermon: When In a Land Far From Home (link below)

The believer often feels out of place in the world and culture they are in. How do we navigate being strangers in a "hostile" world that happens to be our temporary home? To find answers we look in God's word to the words of the prophet Jeremiah who prophesied words of comfort and counsel to those being brought to a land far from home so they could know how to conduct themselves in a place totally opposed to the true living God.
