Testify
Written by Michelle Smythers

And in that day shall ye say, Praise the Lord, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted. Isaiah 12:4

While talking with someone recently, she began to tell me about a health scare she had been facing for a year. After seeing several doctors, she was diagnosed with Stage 3 kidney failure. The day she went for surgery, they needed to do one more test. The doctor came to her and told her she didn't need the surgery, there was no sign of kidney failure. All the tests were clear. She immediately told the doctor God had healed her. There was no doubt. She went on to tell me that after her healing she told God she would make it a point to tell one person a day of what He had done for her, and that day I was her one person.

I began to think about how many times we receive answers to prayers and are excited at that moment but then push it to the side. Sometimes we don't even tell one person that God answered our prayers or how thankful we are that we have a God that not only listens, but a God that responds.

There are times we have so much going on in our lives that once a prayer is answered, we move on to the next prayer. But what if we really think about the answers we receive. We receive healings, financial miracles, families restored and so many other things. What if we make it our goal to tell one person a day about how God has moved for us? It may not seem like much but every time we give thanks and let others know what God has done for us, He is lifted up. When we exalt Him, others may look at their lives and tell of a time God has moved for them and more praise is offered up.

We should never take an answered prayer lightly. Even when something seems small, an answered prayer is still worth praising God. Think back on all the times you have seen God move for you. Are you willing to share your testimony?

Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the Lord of hosts. Zechariah 1:3

The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the Lord hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet. Nahum 1:3

Have you heard the saying, 'Always be kind. You never know what someone is dealing with.'? It may seem simple and easy to do. Some people feel like we all go through things and we should just deal with them the best way we can. We shouldn't expect others to understand. After all, we all have problem...

Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. Isaiah 40:28
