🎓 Lessons Learned 🎓
This morning seniors, Cole Martin & Cayden Akers, shared about the lessons they have learned these past four years in high school. Lessons about life and lessons that have brought them closer to God.
Cole shared how he has learned not to be content or settle, but to keep looking to be better than you were the day before. He learned to not be satisfied with being a “lukewarm Christian” or living like one when it’s convenient. He shared “But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken.”~Matthew 12:36
Cayden then shared how he learned to not be scared to talk with others, be careful who you surround yourself. Community is everything and will either draw you closer to the Lord or further from him. He also shared how he’s grown to allow God’s light to shine in and through him more and not allow the fear of others hinder this. Cayden shared this passage: ““You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”~Matthew 5:14-16
Thank you Cole and Cayden for the impact you have left. We are excited to see how God continues to work and through you all in this next chapter of your lives!
Have a GREAT summer everyone!!! ☀️
