Nineveh: Lutheran Justice Ministry

Nineveh: Lutheran Justice Ministry Nineveh strives to be a place where diversity is celebrated as good and wonderful. This is the work of our God, who is Spirit." You are welcome here.

We envision a world where all forms of discrimination, exploitation, and oppression are transformed by the healing love of God. "Now our God is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of our God is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces reflect God's glory, grow brighter and brighter as we are being transformed into the image we reflect. (2 Corinthians 3:17-18)

Nineveh, a city centrally feat

ured in the Hebrew book of Jonah, represents the people who everyone has given up on, but who God will never abandon. We are a safe haven and house of healing for those on the margins, those suffering from addiction and those excluded from systems of power, economics and education. You are the beloved of God. Our Mission Statement:
Following the way of Jesus,
Nineveh welcomes everyone as a beloved child of God into one community,
Providing a safe space for those who are vulnerable and underserved,
Working for justice,
Caring for one another on our journeys to healing and wholeness,
Embodying God’s compassion. Our Vision:
Nineveh envisions a community in which there are no disparities among neighbors, free to live and work together toward love, justice, and peace for all, where the image of God is valued and recognized in each person.

Whether mixed or purebred, embrace the opportunity for all dogs to live a happy, safe, and abuse-free life. They all give us companionship. Additionally, they keep us safe, and they aid those in need. Dogs play. Well, they play many roles in our lives, too! They keep us healthy, both physically and mentally.

The smoke has settled from our Independence Day Celebration and now it's time for our Second Friday Campfire Collective! Join us by the fireside for some s'mores and good conversation.
There's potential for rain in the forecast, but I am undeterred! Last month we moved the party indoors for a viewing of "To Wong Foo" (a true classic). It's only appropriate that we follow up with "Priscilla". Good time rain or shine!!
