ATTENTION!!! If this post is going to offend you, keep scrolling, but as a minister to children it’s my job to sound the alarm!! Parents be vigilant!!! This movie is coming out this holiday season.

The concept: A little kid who is a very bad speller tries to write a letter to Santa for Christmas and inadvertently addresses his missive to Satan. The letter makes its way to Hell, where the dark lord himself (Jack Black) receives it. He decides to meet the kid and evil fun proceeds from there. Satan tries to lure the sweet kid to the dark side, by promising to grants his wishes at the cost of his soul but he proves surprisingly difficult to corrupt.

While on the surface this movie may not seem harmful, it is the concept behind these types of things that we as Christian parents should be vigilant with and protective of.

Ask yourself this: Why this type of movie? Why target a younger generation? And why I open the door to give the enemy a foothold or an entrance into my kids or family.

Just food for thought!!!
