And God will do His part. "If we confess our sin, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sin, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness." I John 1:9

When Jesus said "It is finished!" he hadn't just died for all the sins up to that point. He died for all future sins as well. Sometimes the enemy gets us to think that we cannot possibly be saved, because we fell into sin after we came to know Jesus as Saviour. Stop and think. When Jesus died on the cross (for your sin) how many of your sins were still in the future? (If you are reading this now in 2026, ALL of them were!)

When I was first introduced to I John 1:9 as a new Christian, it was labeled "the Christian's bar of soap." I still think that's a good description. God will do His part because He promised! ~mary

I'd just like to put in a plug for the Ark Encounter museum/park. It's only about two hours away, and it's really well done. The Ark itself was built to scale with the Biblical dimensions, and it's massive. The museum curators and developers are careful to show where they used artistic license to come up with names and details where the Bible is silent (without conflicting with what we do see in the Bible).

Greg and I spent a day there for our recent anniversary, and were very favorably impressed. I really can't say enough good things about it. From the children's activities near the front to the Zoo behind the ark, and including everything in the Ark itself, it's all well-planned and amazingly informative.

Praise God that He found one man who was devoted enough to Him to be obedient and build the structure that would save the human race from extinction. We think of Noah as a children's story, but it has so many wonderful pictures of salvation. All glory to God!

As your gardens begin producing, please keep in mind that you are welcome to bring extra fruit and veggies to the church to share with others if you would like. There will be an area in the lobby for people to put donations of garden goodies. Thanks!

As we approach the end of our TeamKID semester, I would just like to thank each person who has helped in the children's ministry this year. From Sunday School to Children's Church to TeamKID, you've all been reliable and dedicated to the job. Thank you, thank you! God bless each one of you!

Living just outside of Fort Knox, we are acutely aware of the sacrifice made for our freedom. Many in our community served with men and women who did not return to their homes. Enjoy your day off and your barbecue, but keep the reason in mind as you commemorate these losses.
