πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ This Past Saturday - Fort Knox Scouts Made a Lasting Impact at KVCC πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

The staff at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central would like to extend a special thank you to Scouting America Troop 155 for their outstanding work on the Sustainable Water Stewardship Initiative – Operation Rainwater Remembrance.

This youth-led project brought together environmental education, community service, and hands-on problem-solving to support both our cemetery and the families we serve.

πŸ’§ Troop 155 designed and installed a rainwater collection system that allows visitors to water flowers placed at their loved ones’ headstones.
πŸ’§ In addition, six rainwater barrels were strategically placed throughout the cemetery, providing convenient access to water in nearly every section.

Troop 155’s efforts are a powerful example of how youth leadership and environmental stewardship can come together to make a meaningful and lasting difference in our community.

πŸ‘ Thank you, Troop 155, for your dedication, service, and support of our veteran community.
