Sunday we began our June series, You Asked For It, by looking at Jesus’ words in Matthew 7:1–5: “Judge not.”

We saw that Jesus does not forbid us from discerning right and wrong. He forbids proud, hypocritical condemnation.

Before we speak about someone else’s sin, we need to let God search our own hearts. And when God’s Word confronts us, the faithful response is not to explain it away, but to humbly say, “Lord, help me see it Your way.”

Truth matters. Love matters. Humility matters.

Speak the truth like someone who has also needed mercy.

Most people come to Jesus because someone cared enough to help them get there.

In Mark 2, a paralyzed man couldn’t get to Jesus on his own. Four friends carried him, climbed onto a roof, tore it open, and lowered him down. They refused to let obstacles stop them.

Who helped you get closer to Jesus?

A parent? Grandparent? Friend? Pastor? Sunday School teacher?

Now the question is: Who is God asking you to walk with?

Pray. Care. Share. Invite. Walk.

You don’t have to save anyone. You simply help connect people to the One who can.

Adventure is coming this summer to Bethany Church! 🏕️

We’re excited to launch a brand-new 3-part summer kids series called THE GREAT ADVENTURE.

Each night will include:
🎵 Music
🎲 Games
🍕 Snacks
📖 Bible teaching
🎨 Crafts & activities

And our final August night will feature inflatables and water fun as we celebrate the end of summer together!

We’re excited to see God working in our community and in other congregations! Sometimes churches view other churches as competitors rather than companions. Together, we have a big mission field to reach. We’re excited to see God doing some great things at Northbend, and we know that He has great things in store for them and us!
