Dear Beloved Kimissis Church Family,

As you all know as members of the Kimissis community, Father John has been facing serious health issues for over a year, and particularly in recent months and weeks. On Monday evening, Father John was admitted to the ER due to his worsening condition. After a difficult two days, Father John and Presvytera Veronica, upon the recommendation of the doctors, made the decision, on Wednesday, March 25, to begin home hospice care by the end of this week.

The fact that this decision was made on the Feast of the Annunciation reminds us of the confidence we have as Christians -that in the midst of the difficulties of life, Jesus Christ, the eternal son of God, has chosen to enter the world in order to bring us life, as He Himself is "the Life". With the Theotokos, we hear the words of the Archangel Gabriel, "Rejoice!" knowing that this is the Good News, the Evangelismos, that we all need to hear anew every day.

Father John asks for all of your prayers. Please be assured that Father John has all of you in mind as well.

The family is asking for privacy as Father John transitions to home hospice. Cards and well wishes, and most of all prayers, are appreciated.

With Love in Christ,
The Ketchum Family
