📸 A LITTLE BEHIND THE SCENES WITH UPPER ROOM MINISTRIES! ❤️

There’s a whole lot of cooking, baking, and preparing happening here at the house today! 🍪🍽️

The pork has been cooking, cookies are being baked, and we’re putting the finishing touches on everything for something pretty special happening tonight!

We’re almost done with all the cooking, and our hearts are SO excited for what this evening holds! ❤️

One thing we’ve learned through ministry is that some of the most beautiful moments happen when we simply make ourselves available to love on others.

And tonight? Well, tonight is something especially near and dear to our hearts. 🥹❤️

We’re keeping the details close for now, but we cannot WAIT to share more about what God is doing through Upper Room Ministries on the other side of tonight!

For now, enjoy this little peek behind the scenes, and keep us in your prayers as we head into this evening! 🙌

Big things don’t always start with big crowds. Sometimes they start with willing hearts, a home full of food, and a simple YES to God. ❤️

COMMUNITY UPDATE 🤎

Man… YOU ALL SHOWED UP. 🥹

As of right now, every immediate need that has been brought to us has been met.

Every. Single. One.

The outpouring from this community today has been absolutely incredible. Clothes, hygiene items, financial donations, supplies, shares, prayers, people offering their time — you all came together in FULL force.

And we cannot say THANK YOU enough.

This is what community looks like.
This is what loving your neighbor looks like.
This is what happens when everybody says, “What can I do?” and then does their part. 🤎

Please know that the work is not over yet.

There are still additional areas they are trying to reach and additional people they are working to make contact with, so we still do not know what needs may come up next.

Because of that, we are still happy to accept donations so that we can have items ready and available the moment another need is identified.

But for tonight, we just want to pause and say:

THANK YOU.

To every person who donated.
To every person who shared.
To every person who prayed.
To every person who offered their time.
To every person who messaged and asked what was needed.

You mattered today.

Our community needed people to show up — and man, did you ever show up. 🥹🤎

We will continue posting updates as more information becomes available and as additional needs are identified.

From all of us at Upper Room Ministries MOV:

Thank you for loving your community so well.

🚨 COMMUNITY — HERE’S WHAT WE NEED RIGHT NOW. 🚨

We are beginning to help families affected by the flooding, and additional areas of the county are still being evaluated. We truly do not know the full extent of the need yet.

RIGHT NOW, THESE ARE THE IMMEDIATE NEEDS:

👕 CLOTHING
Kids AND adults — all sizes.

If you have clothes you’ve been meaning to clean out, we can use them.

🪥 HYGIENE ITEMS
We are putting together hygiene packs and need:

• Toothbrushes
• Toothpaste
• Deodorant
• Soap/body wash
• Shampoo/conditioner
• Feminine hygiene products
• Baby wipes
• Body/shower wipes for people who may not have regular access to a shower
• Other basic personal-care items

🎨 ITEMS FOR TWO DISPLACED JUVENILES

One loves to draw, so we would love:

• Drawing pads/sketchbooks
• Pencils
• Colored pencils
• Markers
• Other art supplies

For the young lady, we would love:

• Christian books/devotionals

We want them to have something they enjoy — something that lets them feel like kids again instead of sitting surrounded by reminders of everything they have just walked through.

🙌 VOLUNTEERS

We need people willing to help:

• Sort clothing
• Organize donations
• Assemble hygiene packs
• Help prepare supplies for families

💵 FINANCIAL DONATIONS

Financial donations will help us purchase whatever is still missing and fill needs as they arise. https://linktr.ee/Urmmov

📍 DROP-OFF LOCATION:
From Baked to Blessed

And if you are reading this thinking, “I can’t donate anything right now,” you can still help.

Comment.
Like it.
Follow our page.
Help us keep the information circulating.

You do not have to give money or bring a donation for your help to matter.

Every share matters.
Every volunteer matters.
Every donation matters.
Every prayer matters.

We have only seen a glimpse of what this may look like, and we will continue updating the page as more areas are evaluated and more needs become known.

Right now, we’re simply asking our community to do what it does best:

show up for one another. 🤎

It feels GOOD to be back doing the things that set our souls on fire. ❤️‍🔥

We received a mission this morning: feed breakfast to some families who were displaced by last night’s flooding.

And, well… if you know us, you know we weren’t about to show up with a “light breakfast.” 😂

When people have had a long, difficult night and their world has been turned upside down, sometimes one of the simplest ways we know how to say, “You are seen. You are loved. You are not alone,” is through a hot meal.

So Michael fired up the grill, we got to work, and breakfast is on the way. 🥓🍳🤎

And THIS is one of the reasons we are so incredibly thankful for the building at From Baked to Blessed. Having access to a commercial kitchen means that when a need comes up like this, we can jump in, fire up the equipment, cook a whole lot of food, and serve people quickly. What may look like “just a bakery” during the week can become a place to prepare meals, meet needs, and love on our community when it matters most.

This is the heart of Upper Room Ministries MOV — meeting people where they are, loving them well, and being willing to say yes when there’s a need right in front of us.

Please keep everyone affected by last night’s flooding in your prayers today — the families who were displaced, the first responders who worked through the night, and everyone helping with cleanup and recovery.

We love because He first loved us. 🤎

🚨T-SHIRT ORDERS CLOSE THIS SATURDAY!🚨

If you’ve been meaning to grab one of our shirts, this is your reminder! 💜🙌

But these shirts are about so much more than just a shirt.

All shirt sales are being done through Upper Room Ministries MOV, and ALL proceeds go directly back into the ministry to help us continue serving our community through free meals, outreach events, and meeting needs as they arise.

And one of the BIG things we’re preparing for right now is our Community Thanksgiving Dinner. 🦃🍽️❤️

Our heart is to be able to provide a Thanksgiving meal to anyone who needs one — whether someone is struggling financially, spending the holiday alone, going through a difficult season, or simply needs a place to come sit at a table and be reminded that they are seen and loved.

Every shirt purchased helps us buy the food, supplies, and everything else that goes into making meals like this possible.

So when you order a shirt, you aren’t just buying a shirt. You’re helping put a meal on someone’s plate. 🥹❤️

📅 ORDERS CLOSE THIS SATURDAY, AUGUST 29TH!

If you’ve been waiting to order, don’t miss it!

Already ordered yours? Share this post or tag someone who still needs to get theirs! 🙌

Thank you for continuing to believe in the mission of Upper Room Ministries and helping us love people, serve people, and meet them right where they are. ❤️

🤍 THE WEAR HOPE COLLECTION 🤍
Wear Hope. Sponsor Hope. Change Lives.

There are a lot of things you can wear...

But what if what you wore could help bring hope to someone else?

That's the heart behind The Wear Hope Collection.

Every design was created with two simple goals:

Why 100?

Because that's 100 people wearing hope throughout our community.

❤️ **We're Looking for Volunteers!** ❤️

One of the greatest blessings of ministry is watching people come together with one purpose: serving others.

As Upper Room Ministries prepares for several upcoming community outreach events—including one of our biggest events of the year this Thanksgiving—we're looking for people who have a heart to serve.

You don't have to have a special skill set. You don't have to commit to every event. You just have to be willing.

There are so many ways to help, including:
🤝 Setting up and tearing down
🍽️ Serving food
👕 Organizing clothing donations
🧺 Sorting blankets and supplies
😊 Greeting and connecting with guests
🙏 Praying with people
💪 Helping wherever there's a need

Whether you can give a couple of hours or want to become a regular volunteer, we'd love to have you be part of what God is doing.

If you've been praying about getting more involved in your community or finding a place to serve, maybe this is your invitation.

📩 Send us a message if you're interested in volunteering, and we'll get you connected with upcoming opportunities.

**Many hands make light work—but more importantly, many willing hearts allow us to reach even more people with the love of Jesus.** ❤️

There is something incredibly powerful about a community coming together.

Over the past several months, we've watched God open doors to serve our community in ways we never could have imagined. Through Upper Room Ministries, we've been able to provide meals, encourage families, and begin planning events that point people to hope—not just for a day, but for eternity.

As we look ahead, we're preparing for some of our biggest outreach events of the year, including our annual Thanksgiving community meal and other events designed to love people right where they are.

Here's the reality: ministry takes willing hearts... but it also takes resources.

If you have ever wanted to be part of making a difference, this is your opportunity.

Every donation—whether it's $10, $50, $100, or more—helps provide meals, supplies, equipment, and the resources needed to continue creating opportunities for our community to gather, be encouraged, and experience the love of Christ.

Upper Room Ministries is a registered 501(c)(3), so all monetary donations are tax-deductible, and documentation can be provided for your records.

If you'd like to partner with us financially, send us a message. We'd love to share how you can help make these events possible.

We truly believe that when God's people come together, lives are changed. Thank you for believing in this ministry, praying for it, volunteering, giving, and helping us continue to serve our community.

❤️ Together, we can make an eternal impact.
