This is a day set aside to gather, connect, and simply be together — whether you stop in for a few minutes or stay a while, you’re welcome here.

🍽️ Upper Room Ministries is providing ALL the food for both morning and evening, and we want to make sure we have plenty for everyone!

💬 We’ve heard a few people mention this, so we wanted to share clearly…

Our Community Game Night is currently held once a month, not weekly.

And truthfully… we would LOVE to offer it more often. ❤️
We see how much it blesses families, brings people together, and gives our youth a safe, joy-filled place to be.

But right now, the reality is this:
We simply don’t have the financial support to sustain hosting it weekly.

Every burger, every fry, every game, every detail—it’s all covered through the ministry. And while we are so grateful to be able to do that once a month, going beyond that takes resources we don’t currently have.

We also want to take a moment to say how incredibly thankful we are for From Baked To Blessed. They generously allow us to host these nights in their space at no cost and continually pour back into these events in ways that make a huge impact. Without them, this wouldn’t be possible. 💛

✨ However… we do have vision.

We believe in creating more spaces like this.
We believe in pouring into our youth.
We believe in building something special for this community—especially as we head into summer.

And if the support grows… so can the opportunities. 🙌

Don’t forget we have breakfast available until 11am! Also, we are here at the warming station until 12:30pm today!

We will be open today from 8am-7pm!
FREE breakfast 8am-11am.
FREE dinner 3pm-7pm.

We will also be open from 8am-12:30pm on Wednesday. We will also have breakfast available!

We have blankets, pillows, things to help you stay warm! We also have some hygiene products!

We are so thankful and grateful for the support we’ve received from the community!

Sometimes we don’t realize that even though there’s so many people in this world - our Heavenly Father sees us and knows all about us! No matter our situation or circumstances He loves and cares about us. He sent Jesus to give us NEW life. Not a better one BUT a NEW life!

Come by today! Whether you need to get warm, need or want a hot meal, or even just need or want some company feel free to stop by! We will be there from 8am-7pm and look forward to serving each person that comes through the doors!

The warming station has been open since 8am!
Come enjoy some warmth and food! We also have had items donated to be given away - blankets, clothes, socks, hygiene items, scarves, gloves, toboggans and hand warmers!

It’s amazing what can happen when you give the Lord your “yes”! Sometimes it doesn’t make sense how things could come together but with your yes - He can move and you are allowing His plans and will to come to pass!

Thank You Father for Your provision! Thank You Father for knowing each person this is going to help before they walk in the doors! Thank You Lord for not only loving Meigs County and its residents BUT for also seeing each person in this community and knowing their need before anyone else! 🥹🙌🏼🥰

We are so thankful and grateful that New Beginnings United Methodist Church is allowing us to use their facility as a warming station on Monday and Tuesday! The warming station is available to ANYONE in the community.

New Beginnings United Methodist Church

Pomeroy, OH 45769

The church will be open on Monday & Tuesday 8am-7pm!
There will be FREE hot meals available to ANYONE in the community.
Breakfast will be served Monday & Tuesday 8am-11am.
Dinner will be served Monday & Tuesday 3pm-7pm.

So, if you are in need of shelter and/or heat during the cold - COME!
If you are in need of a hot meal - COME!
Even if you are not in need of shelter and heat but need or want a hot meal - COME!

WE NEED YOUR HELP WITH THIS PROJECT!
Here's how to jump into action and help us:
* Donate items that will help keep people warm. You can drop off donations to the church during hours that the warming station is open.

If you have any donations please contact either Michael at 740-416-2360 or Alexis at 740-508-1229 to arrange a pickup time and location.

Also, we are still working on the further phases, as we are still in search of a building that can hold people in order to have hours set for people to come in and warm up and get a hot meal. We’ve been working on many possibilities this morning and afternoon but haven’t been successful. There are a few locations that we are still waiting to hear back from - so please keep checking back here for the latest updates.

We believe that the Lord knows the perfect location and already has it picked out.

Meigs County, it is time to do one of the things we do best - help out others in our community!
With the extreme drop in temperatures, we are working on a multi-phase plan to help as many individuals as possible within our community.

The FIRST phase of this operation is getting donations that we can then hand out to those who are homeless in our community and those who do not have heat. (If you know where these individuals are or a family in need, please don't hesitate to reach out by sending us a private message.)
We are currently working on securing drop off locations in the county and will keep you informed as the information becomes available.

We are currently seeking the following donations (Please make sure they are CLEAN and/or new):
*Hot Hands (Hand warmers)
*Gloves
*Coats
*Blankets
*Scarves
*Winter Hats
*Socks
*Warm Shoes/Boots
*Anything that will help people stay warm
Monetary donations are accepted as well

We are also looking for volunteers for this project - especially with the phases to come!

We are still working on finalizing all the details and the phases of this operation. So, please bear with us as we will continue to release information as we finalize details.

I hope you stay warm and have plenty to eat,” but you don’t provide them with a coat or even a cup of soup, what good is your faith? So then faith that doesn’t involve action is phony."
