๐ถ What an incredible week at VBS! ๐ถ
We had an absolute blast with all of our kids this week! They learned about listening for God, praising God, and discovering the unique talents God has given each of us. We enjoyed skits, water games, delicious food, snacks, crafts, and a wonderful turnout each night!
One child even told us they hated having to wait a whole year to do it again-that alone made all the hard work worth it! โค๏ธ
On our first night, we learned about Samuel and Eli and how Samuel had to stop and listen for the Lordโs voice. Just as Samuel listened, we need to take time to listen for God speaking in our lives.
On our second night, we learned about Paul and Silas in prison. Even while facing difficult circumstances, they continued to praise God. What a powerful reminder that God is worthy of our praise in every season of life!
On our final night, we talked about talents and purpose. We brought out some unusual props: a plunger, toilet paper, and room spray and asked the kids what they were made for. Their answers brought plenty of laughs! ๐ But the lesson was clear: just as each of those items was created for a specific purpose, God created each one of us with a unique purpose and special gifts to use for His glory. Oh and Pastor may have also gotten a bucket of water dumped on him ๐
We are incredibly thankful for our youth who worked so hard this week. They did an outstanding job serving, leading, and helping make VBS a success. We are so proud of them!
Thank you to everyone who volunteered, donated, prayed, and helped make this week possible. Until next year, keep making a joyful noise unto the Lord!๐ต๐
