“…praise isn't pretending the battle isn't real.

Praise is remembering that the battle isn't yours to carry alone.

Put praise on the front line.
Let worship speak louder than fear.
And trust the God who fights for His people.

"The battle is not yours, but God's." 🙏🏻🤍
📖 2 Chronicles 20:15-22”

In 2 Chronicles 20, King Jehoshaphat received terrifying news: a vast army was coming against Judah.

They were outnumbered. They were afraid. And they didn’t know what to do.

So Jehoshaphat called the people together and sought the Lord.

And God gave them a powerful reminder:

“The battle is not yours, but God’s.”
— 2 Chronicles 20:15

Then came the most unusual battle strategy.

When Judah marched toward the enemy, Jehoshaphat sent singers ahead of the army.

Not the warriors.
Not the strongest men.
The worshipers.

They went before the soldiers, praising God and declaring His goodness before they ever saw the victory.

And as they began to praise, the Lord set ambushes against their enemies, and the enemy armies turned against one another.

By the time Judah arrived, the battle had already been won.

What a picture of faith.

They praised before the breakthrough.
They worshiped before the victory.
They trusted God before they could see what He was doing.

Maybe you’re facing a battle right now that feels bigger than you.

You may not know how God will make a way.
You may not know when the answer will come.
But you can still praise Him.

Because praise isn’t pretending the battle isn’t real.

Praise is remembering that the battle isn’t yours to carry alone.

Put praise on the front line.
Let worship speak louder than fear.
And trust the God who fights for His people.

🦥🦍🐆🦋 Scripture Safari – Journey Complete! 📖🌿

What an incredible adventure our Shady Grove Kids have had on their Scripture Safari!

Over the past weeks, we’ve explored God’s Word, followed the life of David, searched the Scriptures, learned to use our Bibles, and grew in our understanding of who God is—all alongside our Bible Buddies.

From sloths to jaguars, capybaras to butterflies, each week reminded us of a powerful truth: God’s Word is alive, active, and for EVERY one of us.

📖 “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” — Psalm 119:105

🌿 As we finish this journey, let’s not stop here:
• Keep reading your Bible every day
• Keep praying and talking to God
• Keep sharing what you learn with others
• Keep growing in your faith

🙏 We are so proud of every child who participated, and we are praying that what was planted in their hearts will continue to grow for years to come.

Thank you, families, for joining us on this journey through God’s Word. The safari may be over—but God’s Word is just getting started in our hearts! 💛

🦫 Scripture Safari – Capybara Week

This week’s Bible Buddy is the Capybara!

Capybaras are known for being gentle, friendly, and getting along well with others. As we continue our Scripture Safari, we’re reminded that God wants us to show kindness, patience, and love to the people around us.

📖 This Week’s Reading:
1 Kings 2:1-4, 10-12

🌿 Safari Challenge:
Do one act of kindness for someone this week without being asked. Then tell them that God’s love is the reason you wanted to be kind!

As you read this week, look for ways David showed kindness, friendship, or compassion. How can you follow his example?

Let’s keep growing in God’s Word and learning how to love others the way He loves us! 💙
