Scott Daniel Walker, age 59, of Quincy Illinois died Sunday September 26th 2021 at the Fishers of Men Ministry Home. He was born February 2nd 1962. He is preceded in death by his son Scott Daniel Walker.

"Scot" was Baptised December 15th, 2013 and has been a faithful follower of Jesus Christ ever since. He volunteered countless hours at The Crossing Church and at the Fishers of Men where he supported and mentored the men in the ministry home where he lived. His blunt and to-the-point sense of humor has had a legendary impact on everyone who knew him. He worked in the Mailroom at the Herald-Whig newspaper. He enjoyed dining out and eating meals with friends, fast cars and small house pets. He collected quirky nik-naks, Hot Wheels and loved putting stickers on offbeat places.

A casual memorial service will be held for "Scot" at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday October 2nd in The Crossing Church at 929 Monroe St. in Quincy.

Happy Friday to our Friends, Families, Supporters, Volunteers, fb Followers and fellow Fishers of Men,

Tonight in in our 9 o'clock weekly House Meeting the residents and staff of F.O.M. will be in prayer giving thanks to our Father God for the Students, Teachers, Learning Coordinators, Janitorial Staff, Church Schools, Parents home schooling, Parents influencing their children of all ages, Guardians and all others that encrich children everywhere with Knowledge and Love. We will be PRAISING Him for the so many professional and meditated decisions that have been made for the ability to continue to educate children.
And of course we will ask our generous God that faith, hope and love continues to direct with full capability all of the on-going choices that will need to be made, by the above mentioned, in order continue empowering kids with knowledge, growing their trust and guiding them to a responsible future. We will ask Him on behalf of the kids in our neighbor, our town, the tri-states, our country and around the world.
We will tell Him we believe in Him and in the name of His son Jesus.
Matthew 19:14 "Jesus said, `Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.' "
