Mel O’Drama recently shared this on their FaceBook page, with a note of thanks to the churches that host their classes. We are glad that families can come to our building so that kids can learn to express themselves with confidence and growth through various forms of drama and music. Not sure what this event was, but it an interesting use of our Parish Hall with audience backs to the stage and action taking place at the rear of the hall. Photo shared from Mel O’Drama.

women in the Bible - Lenten Reflections
Why not join us Wednesdays during Lent as we share thoughts about how Luke shared more stories about Jesus and the women who followed Jesus on the journey from Galilee to the resurrection. This week Luke mentions the women, some by name, who journeyed with Jesus and who looked after him. This is an important story this week as we also celebrate International Women’s Day this Friday - a time to recognize the strength and courage of women not always recognized. Lenten Reflectiosn take place in the community area of the sanctuary Wednesdays at 5pm with supper and a time for reflection and discussion. Lenten Reflections also available on Zoom. Epiphany Sunday worship will be available on Zoom only. In light of current storm projections, the Sunday service January 7th will be available on Zoom only. Like the wisemen who, after bringing their gifts to Jesus, had to go home another way to stay safe, we want each of you to stay home, stay safe and keep dry in what is expected to be the worst winter storm in two years. The service will begin at 10 am as planned but will be on Zoom only and not in the sanctuary.

Epiphany Sunday , January 7. At Wollaston Congregational church, we will be sharing the story of the wisemen and the three gifts. Did you know that the Bible never told us there were three Magi, but that they brought three gifts?
The gifts they brought is what pastor Lori will focus on this Sunday. Service is scheduled for 10 am in the sanctuary and on Zoom. Please double check Sunday morning if the weather forecasts means we should stay home this Sunday morning.

December 31, the last Sunday of 2023 and the Sunday after Christmas Day. Come, join us in the sanctuary, or on zoom, Sunday morning at 10 am for a time of Music and Meditation, music of Christmas, music from the Archives, and music to lead us into the hopes and challenges of a new year. The picture below shows the words of Thurman’s song about what we should be doing once we stop sharing the music of Christmas and the work that needs to continue beyond this festive season. (Words in the poem are important, the source of the picture is unknown.)

The weather map shows rain just about over for the Quincy area (except some more drizzle later). That means now would be a good time to head over to Wollaston Congregational Church for Christmas shopping, goodies to add to Thanksgiving and a break for lunch. The annual holiday fair is open for shopping and fellowship until 2pm. Picture is from 2016, and shows an empty lunch table that may be there for you today.
