Today’s Message

When the Bible says, “Do not lean on your own understanding,” God is reminding us that our perspective is limited, but His wisdom is complete. We often make decisions based on what we feel, what we see, or what we understand in the moment. Our emotions can change, circumstances can shift, and our hearts can become overwhelmed by fear or uncertainty. But God sees the beginning and the end. He knows the purpose behind every season and the plan behind every step.

Choose to trust the One who never changes. God’s promises are faithful, His timing is perfect, and His ways are higher than ours. Even when you do not understand why something is happening, you can rest knowing that He is still in control. Don’t let temporary feelings overpower eternal truth. Surrender your worries, seek His guidance, and allow Him to direct your path. The God who knows all things will never lead you the wrong way. Trust Him completely, because His wisdom will always take you where His grace can sustain you.

“Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:5–6).

DAILY DEVOTION

Overcoming Inadequacy

We all feel inadequate at times, but triumph is possible when we focus on Christ.

2 Corinthians 2:14-17

At some point, we all face feelings of inadequacy. In today’s passage, Paul asks a question that expresses this common struggle: “Who is adequate for these things?” (v. 16). Even this great apostle understood what it means to feel insufficient.

Have you ever sensed God calling you to serve Him in a way that pushed you outside your comfort zone? Perhaps you hesitated because you didn’t feel qualified. If so, you may have missed an opportunity to see the Lord work powerfully through your weakness.

Feeling inadequate isn’t sin—it’s being honest about our limitations. However, using inadequacy as an excuse to avoid obedience is another matter.
When the Lord challenges you beyond your abilities, you face a choice: Will you focus on Christ and move forward in faith, or focus on yourself and withdraw in defeat?

God would never ask you to do something without empowering you to accomplish it. He doesn’t require perfection—just obedience. Each step of faithfulness is a victory, and you’ll discover what the psalmist knew: “Come and see the works of God, who is awesome in His deeds” (Psalm 66:5).

Message for Today

Having Jesus in your boat does not mean that you will never face storms. Following Him does not remove every challenge, trial, or difficult season from life. There may still be moments when the winds feel strong, the waves rise high, and the journey seems uncertain. But the greatest comfort is knowing that you are never facing those storms alone. The presence of Jesus is greater than the power of any storm you encounter.

When Jesus is with you, the storm does not have the final word. He brings peace in the middle of chaos, strength in moments of weakness, and hope when circumstances look impossible. Do not measure God’s faithfulness by the absence of problems; recognize His faithfulness through His constant presence. The same Jesus who calmed the waves is able to calm your heart. Keep trusting Him, because the boat He is in will never sink. His power will sustain you, His love will surround you, and His promises will carry you safely through.

“He awoke, and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, ‘Peace! Be still!’ The wind ceased, and there was a great calm” (Mark 4:39).

Word for Today

Stronger Through Life’s Challenges

“Moreover [let us also be full of joy now!] let us exult and triumph in our troubles and rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that pressure and affliction and hardship produce patient and unswerving endurance” [Romans 5:3 (AMPC)].

We all face obstacles from time to time. God doesn’t remove every obstacle that stands in our way because we are often made stronger as we learn to overcome obstacles. When we deal with the difficulties of life, we are strengthened. But if we run from all of them, we will never grow and become stronger in our faith and abilities.

If God allowed us to go through all of life without any obstacles, it would harm us. We would not be as strong as we could have been. Many times, our obstacles are what God uses to give us the strength to succeed, as long as we refuse to quit when there seems to be no way to go on.

You can face your fears and overcome them, and when you do, you’ll often find they gave you the strength you needed for the next situation that comes.

Prayer of the Day: Lord, give me strength to face challenges without fear. Help me trust You in every obstacle and grow stronger through each situation. Teach me to keep moving forward with confidence, Amen.

Daily Reminder

Don’t miss what God is doing simply because it does not arrive in the way you expected. Sometimes we imagine how our prayers should be answered, how doors should open, and how our journey should unfold. But God’s wisdom is far greater than our plans. He often brings blessings through unexpected opportunities, healing through difficult seasons, and growth through moments we never would have chosen. What looks different from your plan may still be perfectly aligned with His purpose.

Trust God even when the process looks unfamiliar. He is working in ways your eyes cannot always see and arranging details your mind cannot fully understand. The delay, the change, or even the closed door may be part of His greater plan. Stay open to His guidance and believe that His ways are always filled with love and purpose. God knows exactly what you need and when you need it. His blessings may come in different forms, but His faithfulness will always remain the same.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways,” says Yahweh. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts” (Isaiah 55:8–9).

June 3, 2026 - Word for Today

1 Peter 5:7 (KJV) – Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.

Point to Remember: Some people allow jealousy to consume them and their hearts. Some people wonder why God is using you and not them. They fail to realize, He is God enough. He can use you and them too. Beloved, the Lord cares for you whether man does or not. His love and support of you is not determined by the opinions of others. When others begin to talk bad about you that’s when you know God is moving in your life. If the enemy is attacking, you are fulfilling the will of God. If the enemy is not attacking, you should be nervous. The enemy never attacks who or what belongs to him.

Daily Encouragement

Your worth is in God, not the world. Never measure your value by human opinions, achievements, failures, or the changing standards around you. People may only see the outside, but God sees your heart, your journey, and the purpose He placed within you. Before anyone knew your name, God already knew you and loved you. You are not an accident; you are carefully created, chosen, and designed with a purpose that only you can fulfil.

When doubts try to tell you that you are not enough, remember what God says about you. His love gives you identity, His grace gives you strength, and His plans give your life meaning. You do not have to compete for approval when you are already valued by your Creator. Walk confidently knowing that the One who formed you is still working in you. Keep trusting Him, because your future is not defined by the world’s opinion but by God’s promises and His unfailing love.

“But now Yahweh who created you, Jacob, and he who formed you, Israel says: ‘Don’t be afraid, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by your name. You are mine’” (Isaiah 43:1).
