The same tag. The same prayer. Two different countries. ❤️

While I was in Guatemala, I had the opportunity to give Delanci a gift and a backpack with a LifePoint Kids tag attached. Later, as I looked at the pile of backpacks, that little tag caught my eye—and the weight of what it represented deeply impacted me.

We have prayed for Delanci to know, love, and follow Jesus. Then God gave me the opportunity to look into her eyes and tell her that Jesus loves her.

I also spoke with her mom, Madeline, and encouraged her: “You are doing a good job, Mom. It is evident how deeply you love your girls and how hard you work for them. I pray that as you raise them, you continue pointing them to Jesus.”

The very next week, I came home and lead our Backpack Blessing at LifePoint. We prayed that same prayer over our children, and each child received the same backpack tag. And the same words were spoken over the parents - I pray that as you raise your children, continue pointing them to Jesus.

Now I see that tag on my own son’s backpack, and I pray that he, too, will know, love, and follow Jesus—and that wherever he goes, he will always remember that he is deeply loved and never alone.

Different children. Different families. Different countries. But the same Jesus, the same love, and the same prayer. 💛 As you see the tag on your own child's backpack, remember to pray. Pray that your own child will know, love, and follow Jesus and that they will know they are never alone...and then pray again. Pray for Delanci as we come alongside her in sponsorship and ultimately for her to know how deeply the Lord loves her.

MISSION: ACCOMPLISHED!
Remember Professor Flutterby and his search for the elusive Blue Morpho Butterfly at Camp Epic? He may have been looking for a butterfly, but the bigger adventure was discovering just how incredible God’s creation is—and how BIG His glory is!
This summer, our missions team traveled to Guatemala, where we had the opportunity to serve, share, love, and experience God at work firsthand.

From the rainforest adventures of Professor Flutterby to the real-life adventure of our missions team in Guatemala, the message is the same:
God’s creation is amazing.
God’s love is for ALL people.
And His glory is worth sharing with the whole world!
So… did Professor Flutterby finally find the Blue Morpho?
YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT!

This weekend is our Promotion Sunday - we are moving the kids up to their new grades! So we will have new Kindergarteners in the K-2nd grade room, new Third Graders in the multipurpose room with 3-5th graders, and the Sixth Graders will be joining their parents in the Sanctuary!

ICYMI: LifePoint Kids will be sponsoring a child through Buena Vista Ministerios in Guatemala! In the coming weeks, we'll share about how child sponsorship works and what it provides each child.

Miss Rachel is looking forward to meeting her this next week and giving her a gift from LifePoint Kids!
