Pentecost is the day Christians celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit to the followers of Jesus after his resurrection and ascension.

In the Bible, the disciples were gathered together when the Spirit came like wind and fire, giving them courage, energy, and the ability to speak across language barriers so people from many nations could understand them.

Pentecost is often called the “birthday of the Church” because it marks the moment when the early followers of Jesus moved from fear and hiding into public ministry and community.

At its heart, Pentecost is about this:
God’s Spirit is still alive and moving among people — bringing courage, connection, hope, and new life. Happy Pentecost!
