December 18th Newsletter: We greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Through your continued prayers and support we are reaching the lost and hurting with the Good News that God saves, delivers, and heals through Addiction Free in Christ Ministry of Miracles. I am looking forward to the Lord’s soon return as we celebrate Christmas when our Savior came to us as a child in the manger in Bethlehem. Shepherds were keeping watch over their flock by night and according to Bible Scholar Alfred Edersheim in one of his greatest works “The Life and Times of Jesus the Messiah” these shepherds were keeping watch over the Temple’s flocks that is about 6 miles south of Jerusalem. The Savior was born in the “City of David” in a manger as He is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world (See John 1:29) and our soon coming King. Luke 2:8-15 describes the encounter with the heavenly angels: “8 Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. 10 Then the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.’ 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: 14 ‘Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!’ 15 So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, ‘Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.’” This was prophesied in Micah 5:2 “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Though you are little among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of you shall come forth to Me The One to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth are from of old, From everlasting.” And Isaiah 9:6-7 prophesies: “For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.” I pray that this message will fill you with joy, healing and peace this Christmas season and throughout the year and we await His triumphant return who was the suffering servant of Isaiah 53 who redeemed us from sin and now “King of Kings and Lord of Lords.” NKJV Revelation 19:16 And the Lord shall be King over all the earth. “In that day it shall be— ‘The Lord is one,’ And His name one.” Zechariah 14:9. ~Min.
