Charlie Kirk was not a perfect man. Like all of us, he was a sinner in need of a Savior, and he was never ashamed to say so.
One of the things that marked his life was his willingness to speak openly about his faith in Jesus Christ, even when doing so was unpopular or costly. His faith was not something separate from the rest of his life. It shaped his convictions, influenced the way he saw the world, and guided the way he chose to live.
It is easy to stand for Christ when there is no opposition. It takes courage to stand when your beliefs are mocked, misunderstood, or rejected. Charlie consistently chose to identify himself with Christ.
We will never agree with every word spoken or every decision made by any human being. But we can recognize the value of a life that sought to point people toward Jesus and was willing to publicly acknowledge dependence upon Him.
May his words challenge each of us to examine our own lives. Is our faith merely something we profess, or does it truly shape the way we think, speak, and live?

May we be a people who stand faithfully for Christ, not only when it is easy, but when it costs us something.
