This year, the Gadsden County High School (GCHS) Class of 2022 Baccalaureate speaker will be our very own Pastor Laverne Thomas of Quincy, FL.
Baccalaureate will be Sunday, May 22, 2022, at 10:00 am.
Pastor Thomas is a native of Gadsden County and a graduate of the Class of 1976 from Gadsden Adult School. She married the late Benny F. Thomas in 1996 and was appointed in the same year as Pastor of Mayflower African Methodist Episcopal Church located in the Jamieson community, for a term of six (6) years, 1996-2002. She, then, " Walked by Faith", and not by sight in 2003, and started her own ministry, Triumphant Church of God, where she is currently the Presiding Pastor. Pastor Thoms is a devoted Christian, and leader to her members. She has three (3) beautiful children, Brian Alexander, Melissa Andrews, and Lassandra Alexander Brice, nine (9) grandchildren, five (5) great-children, two (2) sisters, Gladys Wilson Greene, and the late Gloria Wilson.
