Quincy Memorial Park

Quincy Memorial Park Quincy Memorial Park was established in 1932. It was initially named "Quincy Memorial Lawn Cemetery". Records indicate the first burials were in 1932.

The cemetery does not allow upright markers, thus the "park-like" setting. Our office hours vary depending on services and availability. Typically the office assistants are available Mon, Tues, Thurs and Friday from 8am-1pm or by appointment. Please call 217.222.0525 to schedule an appointment outside of our posted office hours.

We sincerely ask that when those cute little Easter ducklings you bought for your child or grandchild, grow up and become too much work for you - please do the responsible thing and find an appropriate home for them rather than "dumping" them on the cemetery grounds. Two young adult ducks (similar to image on the right) were dumped between 10:30 AM & 12:30 pm at the cemetery pond today. (Our cameras did not get a good image of the vehicle.) Whoever you are, you obviously raised these creatures as pets, to be dependent on humans for their food, and then dumped them to fend for themselves. Shame on you!
If anyone is interested in two ducks - they are confused and wandering near the cemetery pond.

Our office will be closed Monday, May 25, 2026, in observance of Memorial Day.

"🇺🇸 With Memorial Day approaching, we are reminded that each fold of a flag holds meaning. The final fold however, the one right before the flag is cradled and handed to a grieving family, says what words cannot. We pause in silence for the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. We honor their memory, their families, and the weight of every fold that tells their story. We will never forget."
