SCRIPTURE: ROMANS 1: 1-7
SUBJECT: "STARTING WITH A GOOD FOUNDATION!"
Today we welcomed and joined our newly appointed Pastoral Team for the 2024-2025 AME Conference Year (Pastor Rev. Aundre' McGlockton, Sr. and First Lady Rev. Joan McGlockton) during 10:00 AM worship services. 🙂
Rev. Aundre' McGlockton shared a word from ROMANS 1: 1-7 and reminded us that this passage symbolizes "a beginning". It was Paul's first opportunity to introduce himself to a new congregation--the saints in Rome. Rev. McGlockton highlighted four (4) key points that stressed the importance of starting out on a good foundation!
FIRST, a good foundation begins by acknowledging "who" we are in Christ! We each need to know our role/our purpose. Are we "a helper/a worker" or are we "a giver/a supporter"?🤔🙏🏽
SECONDLY, a good foundation begins with "believing in the power of the Resurrection" (We believe Jesus rose from the grave with ALL power in His hands and is sitting on the right hand of GOD waiting to help us).🙌🏽
THIRDLY, a good foundation begins with "knowing that we're not in any situation by ourselves! GOD's Word tells us that the Lord will "never" leave us or forsake us; so we must trust GOD and stand firm on His Word!🙏🏽✝️🙌🏽
FOURTH and finally, a good foundation begins with "greeting others with the "Blessings of Grace and the Peace of GOD, the Father!" Showing everyone genuine agape love!
In short, our spiritual lives must be built on a good foundation and that good foundation is "JESUS CHRIST"! JESUS is that SOLID ROCK and the strongest foundation we could ever know!!🙌🏽✝️🙌🏽
