✨ What a wonderful evening at the Arizona Interfaith Golden Rule Awards Ceremony on September 4th! ✨

It was inspiring to see faith communities come
together, united by the Golden Rule — to treat others as we would want to be treated. A beautiful reminder of the power of kindness, respect, and unity in our community.

We were grateful to attend alongside President and Sister Larson, President and Sister Bryce, Brother Elg(Communcation Director)and Sister Elg, Brother Woodmansee (Assistant Communication Director) and Sister Woodmansee, and Brother Benavides (Just Serve Specialist) and Sister Benavides.💛

Recently Max Murray, reported to the stake high council, sharing some insights about his missionary service to the Baltimore, Maryland Mission.

One of his lessons was about this formula to stay close to the Lord using the acronym P.R.A.Y.

P- Pray everyday, commune with the Lord everyday
R- Read everyday, read the words of the Lord everyday
A- Attend Church and the Temple every week, attend the Houses of the Lord
Y- You will know what to do next because the Holy Ghost will be with you always

Welcome home Elder Murray!

Anciently, the Lord commanded Moses to build a tabernacle “according to the pattern shewed to [him] in the mount” (Hebrews 8:5; see also Exodus 25:8–9). The tabernacle was to be the center of Israel’s wilderness camp (see Numbers 2:1–2).

In 1833, the Lord commanded Joseph Smith to build temples “not after the manner of the world” but rather “after the manner which I shall show” (Doctrine and Covenants 95:13–14; see also 97:10). Like the tabernacle in the wilderness, the temple was meant to be a central feature in Kirtland (see Doctrine and Covenants 94:1).

Today, temples are found around the world. Even if they aren’t at the center of our cities, they point us to Christ, who should be the center of our lives. Though each temple differs in appearance, within them we learn the same divine pattern—a heavenly plan to bring us back into the presence of God. Sacred ordinances and covenants connect us to Christ and strengthen our families “not after the manner of the world” but after the pattern God shows us.

See Saints, 1:169–70; “A House for Our God,” in Revelations in Context, 165–73

In your studies this week, here are some questions you could ponder:

What does it mean to you to be “wholly dedicated unto the Lord”?

What do you learn about the Lord from the way He corrected His Saints?

Why do you think Hyrum was so eager to build the temple?

If someone asked you why the Church of Jesus Christ builds so many temples, what would you say?

What sacrifices do you feel the Lord wants you to make?

What does it mean to you to be pure in heart?

What does it mean to be accepted of the Lord?
