May week 2 for preschoolers was all about Jonah, and what happened when he decided to go his way, not God's way. But, Jonah eventually decided that God's way is perfect so that was the way he should go. Hopefully, your preschoolers will start to learn to trust God with the decisions they make, because God's way is perfect.

Hope all you Mommas had a wonderful day!

Wow - this past Sunday was week 2 in our May unit for your K-5th grade students called "5k - Run the Race!" Each Small Group came up with a team name and costume, and all month we'll be talking about practicing our faith - just like we'd practice a sport, talent, or anything we want to be good at! We learned that we should practice hearing from God - one way we can hear from God is through His Word, the bible. Do all your kids have good bibles they can read at home? If you need one, let us know!

Hope all our Mommas had a wonderful Mother's Day!

If you have kids in our ESKids Preschool room, their new unit for March is called "Start Your Engines!" Like racecar drivers, our mission is clear. Jesus is calling each of us to start our engines and- Go, go, go...and love, love, love - like Jesus! We'll be talking about how to do that all month. In week one, we learned that when you love like Jesus, you will be a light in this world.

Activity: Grab two flashlights, turn the lights off, and sit across from each other. Tell your child to do what you do. If you blink your flashlight twice, they blink theirs twice, and so on. After playing for a while, talk about how when we love others like Jesus, we are like a shining light!

On Sunday your K-5th Graders started a new unit - for the month of March our theme is "Bake Off - It's Worth the Wait!" and we're tlaking about patience. Please start learning this month's Bible verse - it will serve your kids well for their whole lives!

At dinner tonight, ask: What are your favorite hacks for having patience? For my kids...epic rock, paper, scissors battles. Makes the waiting bearable. Any great ideas out there? Please post!

Our preschoolers finished their month-long theme of "The Big Sandbox" this past Sunday by learning about the woman who was so thankful for Jesus' love and forgiveness that she washed Jesus' feet with her tears, dried them with her hair, and then poured perfume on them.

After dinner one night, forgo the dishwasher, pull up a chair and let your preschooler wash dishes - they think it's fun! As your child washes, rinses, and dries, talk about the story and the unique way the thankful woman washed and dried Jesus' feet!

On Sunday we wrapped up our month-long study of KINDNESS...and talked about the parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37). God's love is for all, and everyone deserves our kindness - even if they look, think, act, or believe differently than we do.

Our preschoolers also learned the story of the Centurion this past Sunday, just like the elementary kids! The lesson taught us that Jesus will help us. All we have to do is ask and believe that He can!

Today as you drive or take a walk, take turns naming people Jesus loves (no losers in this game as any name works- because Jesus loves everyone!) Say, "Jesus loves (name a person)." When you've named as many people as you can, end by both of you saying "And Jesus loves ME!"

Join us tomorrow live or online for week 4 of "The Big Sandbox."

Sunday was week 3 of our month-long study on kindness, and we saw how Jesus showed His love in the way He helped the Centurion (Matthew 8:5-13). Sometime today, take turns saying kind things about one another or doing kind things for each other. Remember, you can be kinder than you have to be! Join us in person or online at www.eastswamp.org/kids tomorrow for our final week of "Super Fan: Cheer each other on!"

And we're back! Missing last week (so much snow!) was sad, but we had a blast together this past Sunday. We are focusing on kindness this month - Sunday we learned that we should be kind to our family and friends. Our preteens discussed this question - "When is it hard to be kind?"

At dinner tonight, talk about what kind of talent or experiences you each have that you could use to show others how valuable they are.
