It is easy to trust God when life is good. But what happens when hope runs dry, when truth is compromised, when we completely break down from the pressures around us, or when it is time to hand our mission over to the next generation?

Starting June 28, our new summer sermon series explores the gritty reality of Elijah’s ministry to reveal a profound truth: our God is the God of the Valley.

July 5: The Valley of Death & Change (1 Kings 18:20-40)

July 12: The Valley of Fear & Waiting (1 Kings 19)

July 19: The Valley of Mourning & Transition (2 Kings 2:1-15)

Amazing Grace - that is what we sing.
But it is also what we struggle believing.
Whether it is about ourselves, or about others, Grace operates outside of our wheelhouse.

This past week's sermon takes us to the disciple Matthew.
He was working for the enemy. He was someone the people actively disliked and saw as unworthy of God's grace.
And he was someone who left his life of compromise behind as soon as Jesus said, "Follow Me".

What do we need to leave behind?

NOTE: Our fire alarm went off before the service started, and you can still hear it buzzing intermittently. There was no smoke, no fire, no gas; it was a faulty sensor.

Update on the alarm this morning:

There was a faulty fire alarm sensor in the fellowship hall this morning, which caused our fire alarm to go off. There was no smoke or fire, and we are having the sensor replaced this week, Lord Willing.

Thankful that all are safe!
