Our work in Jamaica is not over yet, but here is a little recap of our time here so far. We split into three different teams on our work days. One team is working on restoring a home that was destroyed during Hurricane Melissa, adding a brand new floor, side paneling, fixing the roof, and more. The next team has been working at the local church, redoing their children’s church building by tearing down and adding new walls, and painting the entire inside. They also visited a local preschool to present a gospel lesson with skits and songs. The final group has been staying at our YWAM campus assisting in a wide variety of projects like cleaning, moving wood and furniture, and fixing damage from the hurricane. In between our work days, we’ve gone to the beach, traveled to Dunn’s River Falls with the local church youth group, and led Sunday school and children’s church. It has been amazing seeing how God is working in Jamaica and we can’t wait to see what He continues to do!
