Bucks County Latvian Baptist Church Pastor: The Rev. Dr. Uldis Ukstiņš; Superintendent: Ralf Augstroze

Bucks County Latvian Baptist Church (Bukskauntijas latviešu baptistu draudze), now in its 101st year of worship, is one of the oldest ethnic churches in the United States that has almost exclusively conducted its services in a language other than English - in this case, in the Latvian language. Its current sanctuary was built in 1933, and is located in the historic, quaint village of Applebachsville in idyllic Haycock Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

As our congregation, in its 115th year of worshiping in northern Bucks County, enters the final chapter of our continued worship in this sanctuary, which may come to an end by this summer, we’d like to let you know of the remaining services here, all in English, on a month-by-month basis.

This Sunday, April 19, at 11:00 AM church elder Ralf Augstroze will be preaching on the Third Sunday of Easter, speaking on the topic, “The Turning Point in History” (John 20:1-18). The service will be followed by coffee and fellowship in the Fellowship Hall.

Next Sunday, April 26, at 11:00 AM the service, led by church elder Gatis Keris, will feature a sermon by the Rev. Dr. Paul Barbins of Cleveland, OH, on the topic, “Seven Miles from Revelation” (Luke 24:13-35). We will also celebrate Holy Communion.

Please join us in praise and worship as we bring this long, bountiful chapter to a close! “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1-2)
