Last night at Kid's Corner we had a pumpkin painting party & discussed the similarities between pumpkins & people!

As a pumpkin grows, it is very delicate - each pumpkin is so different and unique on the outside - just like us! When the time comes for the Farmer to pick a pumpkin from the patch, they choose the perfect one, clean it off & get it ready to share. In the same way, God picks us from the bunch, wipes us clean of our sins and helps us to get out into the world to share His love!

The next time that you see a pumpkin, be reminded that God hand-picked you, He loves you & has a special purpose for you life!

What comes to mind when you think of the word “home”? Is it a safe space, a cozy environment, a place where you come to feel comforted & loved? Well, the Bible describes our worldly homes in a different way - this world is a temporary place as we strive for an eternal goal...a goal to reach our heavenly home! When trials are ever present, rest in the assurance that this is just a temporary place - our reward is waiting for us in our heavenly home when Jesus comes back again!
