Happy Thursday Everyone!
Faith That Matures

The flatlander’s goal is to avoid pain; it’s an instinct that lives in all of us. By nature, we want to minimize pain and risk—but you cannot ascend the mountain of the Lord with that mindset. The moment we begin to pursue comfort over calling, we jeopardize becoming who God created us to be. Mountain climbing 😳is inherently filled with challenges and difficulties, and the climb exposes what’s inside. It reveals corrupt motives, broken perspectives, and ungodly desires. This kind of self-revelation is painful but necessary for healing and transformation.
Yet, that’s not all it reveals! The climb also uncovers the beauty God has already placed within us. It reveals the new heart ❤️ He has given you (Ezekiel 36:26), the renewed mind formed in Christ (Romans 12:2), and the soul sanctified through the New Covenant and made alive by His Spirit. Pain and risk don’t just reveal what is ugly; they expose the holy work God has done within you.
Without the climb, nothing is revealed. And without revelation, we cannot mature in Christ. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Staying in Spiritual Shape

When Paul wrote 1 Timothy 4:8, he acknowledged something we all probably know at heart—physical health matters.

In Paul's time, athletic training was a sign of discipline and strength. Today, we also recognize how sleep, nutrition, and exercise impact our well-being. Taking care of our bodies is important because they are a gift from God.

But Paul reminds us that while physical training has value, it’s not enough on its own. We need something more—something deeper that sustains us beyond the ups and downs of life. That something is godliness.

Godliness isn’t just about avoiding bad habits. It’s about shaping our lives around God’s presence and purpose. Just as physical training strengthens our bodies, spiritual training—through prayer, Scripture, and obedience—strengthens our souls.

When we seek Him first, we discover that godliness doesn’t just prepare us for eternity, it also transforms how we live right now. A healthy life—mentally, physically, and spiritually—starts with seeking Him first. Our Lord Jesus Christ 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Lord, thank you that in the valleys of life—whether they are moments of fear, loneliness, or brokenness—You are right beside us. Your rod and staff protect us and guide us. We choose to fear no evil, knowing You are with us, strengthening our faith and comforting our hearts. For we know it’s not a permanent residence in the “ darkest valley “. Amen 🙏🏾 In Jesus Christ Name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Women's ministries help women come to Christ and grow in Christ by understanding the gospel, responding to the gospel, and applying in their lives.
