Pastor Dr Troy Jones continues on the sermon “I SURRENDER ALL”
This is NOT just one day to follow JESUS, this means DAILY obedience. “I need to fall on my knees and surrender to CHRIST”
To say, JESUS is the LORD of my life ….The essence of this message is the trouble of saying, “I SURRENDER SOME”
This TRULY means that Jesus is NOT the center of our lives.
I have NOT truly declared that JESUS is LORD of my life
Pastor Troy says, we struggle with this. The call to Christianity is to declare that “JESUS is the LORD of my life and “ I SURRENDER ALL”. We want to be “ALL IN WITH” with JESUS
What would happened if we lived and practiced this. We would have a revival in Seattle
We would live with a sense of urgency.
With all of our gifts given by our HEAVENLY FATHER, it’s that we are given TIME / TALENT / TREASURE / TESTIMONY
AND Today, Pastor Troy says, “I SURRENDER TREASURE”
This is hard for people to surrender my wealth and income to JESUS. “I would rather get circumcised then tithe 10% of my income
We have to know that our resources and finances come from GOD
To Quote Martin Luther…
“There are 3 conversions necessary in Christian life, the conversion of the heart, the mind, and the purse ”
Surrendering my financing is the most difficult thing. Your heart is so connected to your money. Pastor Troy mentions that the most powerful and most freeing is having “JESUS is the LORD of Your Finances”
1 Timothy 6:6
Paul realizes that people have money . He tells Timothy Communicate to the people . Godliness with continment is great gain
1 Timothy 6:9
Those who want to get rich fall in temptation and a trap and many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction
It is considered, If you have a roof over your head. If you have food to eat, you have clothes to wear, you are rich and have abundance. You have WEALTH. AND if wealth is not dealt with, more wealth does not make you happy. Pastor Troy says “More is NOT your goal, serving GOD is”. Our job and salaries have created a desire to want more more more. And creates discontentment. We say, “I trust my hope in money instead of GOD” The truth is you will be in trouble . In the daily grind, we say, “I just want to raise my standard of living . Your money can help build GOD’s Kingdom or it can be a weapon and be a trap and be a source of temptation
1 Timothy 6:17
“Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in GOD, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment”
How do we make a difference
Don’t be arrogant . Don’t put your hope and wealth in your money. I will Put My trust in JESUS . Our currency , our dollar bills says, “In GOD We Trust”
So, I should instead Take my resources that comes from GOD and give so to do good deeds.
1 Timothy 6:18
“Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share”
So many people are stingy. There are something special when You are generous in life
As a Bible person I need to be willing to share . I need to acknowledge being selfish and greedy,
I want to be generous
Tithing. I do it as it’s an ancient tradition. Returning to GOD 10% of my wealth does something to my heart . Return to HIM what GOD has given me
1 Timothy 6:19
“In this way they will lay treasure as a firm foundation for the coming age so that they may take hold of the life that is TRULY the life”
I want to share. We have so much but we don’t lift the standard of giving
When I give it’s an antidote. to be givers in JESUS’ name
In closing, Pastor Troy will dedicate the 1st Sunday of Every month. To see aside this spiritual moment, to do something powerful. We will do a special offering to remind us Christians to do good with all our GOD GIVEN GIFT of Treasure - to impact GOD’s Kingdom here on earth

Scripture speaks that we take time serious and to surrender our time to HIM
However, in many of the examples in our human history, we have spent time resisting HIS will, resisting HIS weight. as Pastor Eric says, therefore “This is a complete waste of time”
THE PURPOSE of our lives : As a child of GOD, everyday we ought to engage the meaning of GOD; to GLORIFY HIM
In Psalm 90
This Is a tribute to Moses in the wilderness; 40 years wandering in the scorched sun
He & the People who escaped Slavery in Egypt will eventually get to the Promised Land. But in the TIME (40 years), Moses cries out to GOD, “We are wasting our time here wandering. When will we cross into the land YOU PROMISED,- even though GOD knows they are not ready
Psalms 90:1-2
Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations. Before the mountains were born, you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting, you are GOD
MOSES remembers Jehovah Is GOD and he is NOT
Pastor Eric as the Congregation, “Why is this so important - that Moses remembers this?”
In our present day, we declare this too. We have to surrender control so GOD can have HIS way in our daily lives
We can put our own lives into context. We can’t control anything. You don’t know when things are going to happen. We have to lay down the illusion, the mirage, the lie that we can act like GOD
When we try to control our lives on our own without surrendering all our problems to our GOD, Time goes by, relationships are broken, opportunities are lost
The 40 years in the dessert had purpose in the lives of Moses & the people back then
For us, we deal with many years of restless nights, the inability to sleep.
The dessert - this wilderness was meant to retrain them. They still thought like they were still slaves in Egypt
Today, we have to Surrender the DEEP WORK OF GOD & HIS WILL. We say, “I WANT TO GET THROUGH THIS”, like having a remote control to change the channel. We don’t allow GOD the time to be a part of our lives. Your hard times redeemable. To SURRENDER ALL is a Divine intention for healing
Plasma 90 : 7
We are consumed by your anger and terrified by your indignation. GOD is angry that the Moses & the people are wasting their lives
HE WANTS to use the dessert. It is meant as a gift to make good - to make them better
The dessert is all about a confrontation between us and allowing GOD’ WILL to be done in our lives
We are wrong to resist HIM. We waste time spent being thirsty, confused, and not making progress. In our daily lives, we want a relationship, a promotion, we want fame and money, etc.
GOD says, I am worry about your heart. I want to transform your “personhood”
GOD IS GOOD. HE is with me. Even with you are alone
Transformation & Wisdom is the dessert. Surrender to what will last the test of time
Palm 90:12 ,
God have your way with us . Teach us to number the days so that we may gain a heart of wisdom
Psalms 14-16
Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad for all of days. Make us glad for as many days that you have afflicted us, for as many years we have seen trouble may your deeds be shown to your servants, your splendor to your children
Moses failed to BUT the children (the NEXT GENERATION) learned
Plasm 90 : 17
“May the favor of our LORD GOD rest on us, establish the work of our hands for us. Yes, establish the work of our hands”
Let our lives have eternal meaning. ALLOW our HEAVENLY FATHER Establish the work of our hands. We have experienced YOUR righteous anger, be gracious to us
At the end of this sermon, Pastor Eric says, In the right hands, GOD can establish with beauty, with eternal meaning.

We (Lloyd Polen, Jermaine Rice, and Rick Playle) are Good Friends & Brothers doing a group activity on a Beautiful Saturday 😇
This is an easy hike. 2 miles round trip, 400 ft Elavation - with a SPECTACULAR SURPRISE at the very end - a 70ft Waterfall Plunge👍🏽
These outings are a time to enjoy a group activity together while we are getting to know one another and have a meal together. My slogan has ALWAYS been let’s do “FOOD / FUN / FELLOWSHIP”

Pastor Dr Brian Jenkins & Pastor Matt Harder combine to finish the Sermon on the Series : PRAY FIRST
As Christian, we ask, where to begin. Our FIRST instinct is NOT to pray first. However for all of us, We worry first, we plan next, and then we PRAY LAST
Prayer is to align my voice with GOD’s heart. During a typical day, aw humans we want to participate, so we worry. This is a way to guide us - giving us a sense of control over life matters
But as Pastor Brian & Matt encourage us, PRAYER is ALSO THE WAY to participate. This does the work in us . How can we learn to pray firsts.
Pastor Brian jokes, the way we approach praying, It’s a bit like a formula - a spell like saying “abracadabra” and IF we have the rhythm & formula (framework) right, then WE EXPECT GOD to do something
Instead Pastor Matt says, “let’s align our heart” this rhythm & formula (framework) - asking GOD what we need
Praise Our GOD. This is how we worship GOD. Putting HIM where HE belongs in this universe. HE reminds us to say out loud - praising HIM
Mathew 6:9
In this Scripture, we have a Transcendent GOD - who is in our lives And JESUS taught us how to pray in this “FRAMEWORK”
Hebrews 13:15
When in our lives, things are NOT going well . It’s this scripture, “ Through Jesus therefore , let us continually offer to GOD a sacrifice of PRAISE through the fruit of lips that openly profess HIS name
GOD is good, HE is merciful, HE never changes. Pastor Brian says, “My circumstances are irrelevant. I know it’s true that I I will commit to PRAISING HIM.
Pastor Matt expands on the matter of REPENTENCE
This act is not just saying sorry. Repentance is turning to prayer - admitting that we are not perfect . So, we need to align our hearts .
Pastor Brian says, We as Christians adopt a position of regret - that we feel bad about what we did. BUT as we say sorry, we REALLY don’t see people change or REPENT. Sure, we say, “I feel bad and I see the impact of my actions. Rather if we REPENT, it’s acknowledging that my transgressions upon another or to GOD, that is a sin, and we say we will never do this again. REPENTING will drive us to change. To our GOD, I have offended thee and I am going to turn away from this behavior and turn to you. This leads from being sorry to being sorrowful
Psalms 51.1
Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love, according to your great compassion. Blot out my offense that I have done.
I am someone in need. I have sinned. I have done something wrong.
Pastor Brian encourages, Don’t make an excuse. You can’t turn away from something unless you acknowledge what you have done
Psalms 51: 10 -11
Create in me a pure heart O God, renew a steadfast spirit within me. Don’t cast me from your presence
Pastor Brains says, I need to start over. The idea is that an internal thing in me went wrong, so I turn to you. Asking it is not twisting GOD’s Arm. Asking is reaching GOD’s Hand
In spite of all this, not a prosperity gospel, I need to ask GOD that I am dealing with this at this moment. How do I ask for things?
Philippians 4:6
Is it ok to pray,
Don’t be anxious about anything, but in everything situation, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your request to GOD
Pastor Brian says like the innocence of a child, let us pray over anything, even the little things. Let’s Get Christians to realize they can do this. GOD says please bother me about this. I want to know your every thoughts. Don’t be anxious come to me with your petitions and requests
HIS faithfulness . GOD speaks and moves according to HIS will

end the series of PRAY FIRST with this word - Yielding.
If I am disordered with GOD,
Yield to HIM. Your Kingdom , Your WILL be done
I Yield and trust in you AS JESUS Said when dying on the cross, “Father into your hands I give you my spirit”
So, Pray as a kid with innocence and fervor.
I choose to let YOUR WAY go first. We acknowledge that final surrender over to GOD

What is our 1st response? It is to pray
We want prayer back. It’s not our natural reaction but we need our GOD to open your heart so we turn from our wicked ways
Pastor Troy wants for our congregation - on May 17 - to be a day of prayer (in all the 5 campuses)

Our tendency & reaction is not to pray first , but to Worry First !!!

But seek first HIS kingdom and HIS righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well
What would happen to our region / country if we pray first?
And Pastor Troy asks the congregation, When should you stop praying? Our Answer is Never
HOWEVER, the answer according to JESUS is : WHEN SOMEONE IS UPSET WITH YOU
Mathew 5-6
Sermon On The Mount: A Dissertation from JESUS messing up your life.
Pastor Troy says, How you treat people matters. How you relate to others is reflective in your relationship with GOD.
Therefore if you offer your prayer to GOD, remember your brother and sister have something against you, you should leave the alter and stop praying
Mathew 5:24
Leave your gift there in front of the altar. FIRST GO and be reconciled to them then come and offer your gift
Pastor Troy says, “When your heart is off with people , your prayers are off with GOD”
You can’t be right with GOD and wrong with people
Today, Pastor Troy provides Pastor Leadership and NOT counseling,
When we have tried to TALK, one can say, “There is nothing I can do to reconcile with that person. AND In the name of JESUS. I don’t have bitterness and anger. But I am right with my heart with GOD”
Mathew 6:12
And Forgive our debt as we also have forgiven our debtors
When we are shown the MERCY of GOD, it will not make us be judgemental . We can extend grace to someone in your life
We have every reason to have
Mathew 18:21
Lord how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me, up to 7 times
Pastor Troy did the math, it’s means “490 times a day (every 2 minutes)” that you forgive them. By JESUS Teaching this, what HE is essentially doing is removing your FULLNESS of anger & bitterness
Give me the power of mercy and grace - to extend this to other people . Help me to see the other person’s perspective

Dr Pastor Brian Jenkins begins the sermon on Pray First
He says, “Prayer is a Funny Thing, an Unusual Thing That We Often Struggle With”. We say my miracle gifts are zero. We see that what we pray about don’t work out. For when We pray it bounces back at us.
Prayer is a challenge for all of us. It feels empty, foolish, and we feel bad because you think you are not spiritual even though we are driven.
So Pastor Brian says, how does prayer really work? AND Does it really work? Are there rules? What seems to unlock the wishes in getting what we pray for. What is the point?
Pastor Brian says effective prayer requires proper perspective
In Luke 18: 9-14
Jesus has set his eyes on Jerusalem. He know that HIS time is limited.
Luke 18:10
Qualities of kingdom prayer is persistence. Two men went up to the temple to pray. One is a Pharisee and the other a tax collector…
In this story, The Pharisees is the most popular most common religious group. They just want God Made Right. They live and lead religious lives by adding a bunch of stuff to it so it will not be wrong
This is Everything we strive to be
The Tax collectors on the other hand were stereotypes of cheaters & traitors
Pharisee good guys
Tac Collector bad guy
In this parable, Luke writes that JESUS illustrates that This is about prayer, religious behavior and religious performance
The Pharisee they look down on other people. And honestly, in our present culture, we too realize that we are dependent on our goodness. We say, “If I do it right. I am right” Or say this can’t be possibly be about me. I am not like those bad people.
JESUS wants you to hear this parable. All of us feel VERY confident in our self righteousness. Whether you are religious or not

The Pharisee stood by himself and prays. God, I am not like others…
“He is doing things right. He is tithing and fasting 2x week”
What JESUSB does, HE exposes
COMPARISON & ENTITLEMENT
They are an illness that we don’t get resolved. In this absurdity. We say to GOD expecting results - wanting things in our favor. We act by thinking “ GOD, you owe me cuz I am doing it right”. So you feel that you are owed a blessing, fruitfulness, healing, a promotion, etc.
I preach from the pulpit and we pray better than the other guy. I study, I work hard
Pastor Brian says, We don’t say it out loud. But our heart SCREAMS this out
The problem with prayers is that we make it about ourselves . When we come to prayer, We forget who we are standing in front of.
GOD, I hate this pride inside me
How To Make Prayer Right
Luke 18:23
The Tax Collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven but beat his breast and sad, GOD have mercy on me , I am a sinner
This was shocking to see this submission. In this parable
It teaches us about prayer
Prayer cannot be anything until it is honest.
We can’t say, “I lost my temper only because she made me do this”. In This example, I am asking for permission, not forgiveness
GOD is ALL KNOWING , there is NO deal making, we have to be truthful to HIM & ourselves
In this parable, Luke is writing that The Tax Collector is honest who GOD really is. The FATHER IN HEAVEN IS HOLY. Pastor Brian says in your prayers bring REVERENCE not ENTITLEMENT
So, LETS BE HONEST. What I really need. What do we deserve. In your prayers, ask for a gift of mercy and reconciliation. GOD wants to hear you and what you are really asking for
Luke 18:14
“For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled and those who humble themselves will be exalted”
For all in our prayer life, we need HUMILITY
I need to know who I really am.
I am broken. Let me bring this to GOD. GOD have mercy on me. GOD is FAITHFUL and bring humility where we fit in this world order
For GOD has to do it. when JESUS prayed to the HEAVENLY FATHER, JESUS’ humility is HIS GLORY.
Pastor Brian ends by saying
I am a child of GOD, saved because of the CROSS
I am making it because of HIS Righteousness NOT mine
So when we pray
Keep it Humble
Keep it Simple
Dear GOD, HELP ME know what I really need, HE LOVES you and wants to get to know you

Today was pretty special at our Church🙏🏽
Pastor Dr Troy Jones recited the WHOLE Book of James today as part of his Sermon😇
He has done this one time in the past - reciting “WORD for WORD”
It’s TRULY AMAZING how our human mind can accomplish this feat. As we sat in the front row, It’s as if we were watching a LIVE Performance right before our eyes
The purpose of this SCRIPTURE RECITAL “Word For Word” is to set an example. Pastor Troy encourages us to incorporate / memorizing scriptures - in order that we strengthen our “FAITH IN ACTION”
The book of James is a “How - To Guide” for Christain Living.
It challenges people to not just say that they believe, but to live in a way that proves it. Pastor Troy says we do this through actions, humility & integrity.
The EPISTLE of James is a practical straight to the point letter in the New Testament that focuses on how faith should actually show up in daily life
The CORE ideas in James emphasizes that REAL FAITH is not just belief, but in actions.
Pastor Troy says, “If someone has truly faith in GOD, it should be visible in how they live, treat others and make decisions”

Pastor Matt Harder begins his sermon on a 6 week series in Mathew
on “What is the purpose of prayer? How do we even pray?”
GOD’s WORD IS ALIVE AND ITS ACTIVE IN OUR DAILY LIVES
Mathew 6
As followers Jesus our first instinct is not to plan about everything (goals, careers, families) BUT our 1st INSTINCT as Christians should be to pray FIRST
WE have small groups, we Bible study, and we pray before we eat our meals
But Pastor Matt says ,”What is it like to be a Prayer Person. There is a statistic :
Christians say that they pray 55% daily
AND in this statistic, 20 years later - DAILY PRAYING went down to 44 %
Pastor Matt says, “We see & feel it as well. There are season in our lives that we don’t pray. AND We also see that praying becomes a “Performance”. Christian are not really caring & intentional during praying. We do a “Transactional NOT Relational” form of prayer
So then WHAT IS THE POINT OF PRAYER?
WE SAY:
“Too small, too awkward, too good, too unanswered”.
“Why do we pray when things are going good”
Pastor Matt shares this in
Mathew 6: 9-13
This then is how you should pray. The BEATITUDES and in JESUS’ teaching, we see where HE is going with the message
Don’t be like the religious people they just want to be seen. They are praying transactionally NOT relationally.
There is more to prayer.
Jesus says:
“Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be your name your kingdom come your will be done on earth as it is in heaven
Give us today our daily bread
And forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one
Pastor Matt expands and dissects JESUS PRAYER
We are weak so we ask GOD to guard our mind & heart. We ask that we do NOT take our eyes off of HIM
We ask GOD, would you give me the wisdom. We need formation & foundation in our heart. This Is a humility prayer
In JESUS’ Prayer, we can approach the throne in heaven - to GOD the FATHER
We have a reverence in HIS Sovereignty. HE is GOD and we know a name above all names There is a worship that begins when we set GOD apart from our own busy life. In JESUS’ prayer, we ask that HIS will be done. Can we position our hearts to GOD. For matters of conflicts & difficult situations
We go into a Rabbit hole and just go through the motion. There is push back. We have to know that GOD’s WILL BE DONE- even in the turmoil and destruction
Even in UN-answered prayers, “I fought the good fight and I finshed the race”
Our prayers have been Denied as we SUBMIT to GOD that HIS WILL be done
Pastor Matt ends with encouragement. “Even we don’t understand, take heart that GOD is NOT surprised. We can TRUST HIM as HE is FAITHFUL. Our prayers is not a performance. Even as there something not right in world. There is still a void . Heaven & Earth are completely different
Thank GOD for Jesus
We still sin and as people do. We do NOT want to follow JESUS. We have to submit and allow HIS desire to be your desires. All the Dysfunction In our earthy lives (pain hurt sickness, and suffering)
We trust GOD as HE is sovereign. And
Even in pain
What would like look like if we did not worry . We are not downplaying who GOD is
We know that HE is gonna provide . We ask JUST provide enough for today
We are not perfect (pride, sin)
We receive salvation as a free gift. GOD forgive me of my sins as I forgive those who have sinned me
JESUS wants freedom for you
Love your neighbors as yourself . No broken relationship within our lives
When GOD is in the room, I know I can give it to HIM to continue to work things out daily
Our prayers are not answered because we have Bitterness & Anger in our hearts. Then there is the devil and he will interfere. It’s a battle everyday. Pull me away, deliver me from this devil as I submit to GOD
HE wants this in our lives that we pray DAILY - a prayer like this . GOD is DOING THE WORK
Watch what happens
You can not control external
But see what is happening in our hearts. We will see a revival in our house happening
It starts with me. GOD
Deliver Me

GOD made it right but we broke it . AND We keep doing this . ALL of us are sinners. It’s a dose of humility . All of us have e broke the heart of god. We have fallen short because we all have sin. We deserve GOD’s judgment and punishment
Pastor Bryan says, “The idea of breaking - is shattering, the peices are still there but it never goes back”. So we say in our brokenness, we want to do it myself in defiance of HIM
We try to fix our lives (brokenness in marriages, children, occupations, etc.) INSTEAD of allowing GOD to intercede
Pastor Brian says, WHAT DO WE DO WITH SIN?
If I am moral enough, if I can learn inner secret, I can put my “BROKENNESS” back together. BUT Pastor Brian says, “It will never stick. This is brokenness fixing brokenness.
As Christians, JESUS is the only one that can fix. You are saved through grace. We need this Outside influence that act on our behalf
ACT 3 : JESUS FIXES IT
We all face an unsolvable problem (DEATH / SHAME / GUILT)
The CROSS & RESURRECTION is the solution to our greatest problems
As BOTH PASTORS Troy & Brian close, our HEAVENLY FATHER says “I love you so much. JESUS Chose to accept this punishment and goes to the CROSS, in order to save us

for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of GOD is Eternal Life
Our LORD JESUS takes our death, all our wrong doing and is punished. Our SAVIOR JESUS paid it all
ACT 4 : THE CHURCH SHARES IT
I am a part of the family of GOD. To share the GOOD NEWS that JESUS IS THE ANSWER. We are sent , we are ambassadors to send the message of JESUS CHRIST. HE is the solution to the problem . JESUS is ALIVE.
3.9 BILLION people don’t have access to hear the message (GOOD NEWS). We as Christians have our confession- that
JESUS is GOD. AND validated and sealed. Salvation for everyone
