Pastor Dr. Jeremy Johnson (Northwest University President) begins his sermon on Kingdom Impact by World Changers
“GOD wants to use all of us. GOD uses you to have a huge impact in HIS mission”
Most of us have had a 1st job and as it REVEALS to us, it does not DEFINE us. When we started a job and it’s something that we did not expect, a job we did not particularly enjoy, IN IT, GOD
sees to it’s the best job ever. We have heard said to us, “I see something you. You have a calling” Your journey was GOD putting you there because it NEEDED to get done and that you are GIFTED to do.
“GOD often hides a calling inside a problem”
We have messy lives. Bad things happen to us
Pastor Jeremy says, “I am positive that the challenge is do we do what is needed and when in it, discover the calling and step up & step out to do what the Church is calling us to do”
When GOD grants you the prayer request. There is work
When GOD grants us favor, there is something HE wants you to accomplish in HIS KINGDOM here on Earth
Acts 6:1
The word about Jesus was spreading out there . The Hellenistic Jews among them complained again the Hebraic Jews because their widows are being over looked to the daily distribution of food
Acts 6: 2-4
There is a mess in the middle of growth. So the 12 Disciplines gathered all the brothers & sisters choose 7 Men among you are known to be full of the spirit and wisdom. We will turn this responsibility into them and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the WORD
“GOD wants to do something in you, through you - this is NOT about you”. GOD will use you to do something impactful in your communities”
Acts 6:7
We are gonna attack this problem with an opportunity to raise up leaders. In this scripture , Disciple Steven is on a journey to become a leader His journey begins and he is serving tables as there is a need to impact people
It’s letting his gifts develop”
So the WORD of GOD spread . The numbers of disciples in Jerusalem increased rapidly and a large number of priests became obedient to the faith
GOD uses a problem to address a calling .
So in our busy & complex lives, GOD is calling you. Some of us are facing complexity in our marriages, children, or work
Let’s return to the BASIC FOUNDATION. So we say “I am apologize & say SORRY to my wife, I am gonna spend MORE time with my family, I am gonna follow orders & instructions at work- even if it don’t want to
Pastor Jeremy says, There is a mess. So let’s address it. We are required to step up and step out - to lead. Your journey has GOD giving you an assignment. We are connected in the hip, and GOD uses us and something inside you heart , mind, and spirit builds
GOD. ALWAYS bring good things to us, we just have to see it and become leaders for the next generation
Pastor Jeremy ends with this : As Paul sees Timothy and gives him a shovel to dig and tackle the problem, Timothy uses his talents to serve others in order to due the mission GOD assigns to him
How significant are GOD’s plans for you today. What is your assignment to tackle problems in your lives and lead “When a Leader Steps Out, a Hungry World is Fed

I have Good Friends & Brothers in Christ - from our New Life Church Men’s Bible Study Group - Renton Campus😇
I Opened Up my “Butterly” Home to have another opportunity for FOOD / FUN / FELLOWSHIP- as I ALWAYS say🤣
I have gotten to know some of these Christians Brothers since June 2014 - when I joined this Weekly Bible Study Group (River Rock @ Maple Wood Golf Course)
Our leaders are Harley Cutler & Jon Foggy Fogdall)
AND from this HOLY SPIRIT Led moment, I have FORGED SOLID & LASTING Friendships 🙏🏽
Among the 15 Brothers getting together today, I can count on any of them for Strength, Support, Wisdom, Advice, and Helping with anything LIFE is gonna throw at me❤️
We even go to many Sporting Events & Concerts together too👍🏽

Not only was this about FOOD / FUN / FELLOWSHIP - as I ALWAYS LUV to say….This Morning was also about Like Minded Men sharing our Christian Faith - to DIVE Into The WORD, as Pastor Tyman delivered a message to Us Men - in order to build us up, empower & guide us😇
We need to hear the HOLY SPIRIT as we lead our Families in our Homes & in our Communities ❤️
We even had one of our Bible Study Group Members (Torin Bainter) on Stage today “Showing Us The Way” to be the Hands & Feet of Jesus - to help serve our Brothers & Sisters in Need in our communities 😇

Pastor Dr Pastor Troy Jones begins a 6 week celebration of 100 years of the birth of our Church. He wants to reflect on this story in bits and pieces to speak to our hearts on the history of our beginnings
Pastor Troy begins by saying “GOD is going to transform our lives & stir in our hearts for people to get to know JESUS, more people to get saved, more time to support our ministries around the world - impacting many lives by getting to know JESUS
Pastor Troy mentions 3 ideas REMEMBER GODS FAITHFULNESS - remember how many people have been baptized, how many missionaries have been established
REMEMBER OUR BIBLICAL FOUNDATION - this is what the bible says and this is why we do the things we do. This is how we live our lives - how JESUS showed us
REENGAGE EVERYONE IN THE MISSION OF GOD - we are the church to glorify JESUS. It’s not just a building or a program, it’s the people who disciple everyone to come to JESU
So much has changed in 100 years. When it comes to change, there is one constant . That JESUS is still alive. With the same heart that JESUS showed, we can reach people and bring them to church to know the heart & values of the church
Mathew Chapter 16
The idea of Church came from JESUS . HE said, “I will build my church”. HE was thinking about the people. HE was NOT speaking about the Priest & and Prophets. The church becomes the people. GOD has. taken broken people and transforms their lives in order to GLORY HIS NAME
Mathew 16:13
“Who do people say the Son Of Man Is?”
This is the most important question that we Christians can answer. Some say HE is John The Baptist, others say Elijah, and still others say, Jeremiah and the other prophets
Mathew 16:15
Do you believe that JESUS Lived. Then who is JESUS to you? JESUS says, I don’t care what people think, what about you, HE asked who do you say that I am? In the history, JESUS was considered as just a man, a miracle man that turns water into wine
However is Mathew 16 : 16
Simon Peter says, “You are the messiah, the SON of the living GOD. The one people have been looking for over 1000 years to help save us
Mathew 16:18
“And I tell you that you are Peter, and in this rock I will build this church and the son of Hades will not overcome it”
Pastor Troy emphasizes, JESUS IS ALIVE. The politics of the world will not overcome this. HE is the foundation of our New Life Church (Renton Campus) for 100 years.
Our Confession: JESUS is LORD and GOD raised HIM from the dead. And one day HE will be coming back. Everyone when bow to their knees and glorify GOD
We are gonna remember the goodness of GOD
Pastor Troy ends with this positive good mood

Reminds us all the time “How Good God Is All The Time”
Today, he completes the series on “The 7 Pillars of Wisdom”
Pastor Eric says, GOD wants to establish in us. He preaches on the Pillar of Restraint
from the Book of Proverbs
Without wisdoms, whatever we build, can’t last unless it’s TRUST we have in our Heavenly Father
Wisdom is not perfection
BUT wisdom leans into GOD’s thoughts
King Solomon had everything , He had WEALTH , POWER, but what he asks for was WISDOM Back in the days of King Solomon, the most important part of a city were the walls that protected the people from the outside. The walls were security and there were 2 guards at every gate. This offered the protection inside the city. king Solomon did not want to be exposed & be vulnerable to the outside.
Pastor Eric uses this analogy about the Gates of Jerusalem
when preaching to us about the 7th Pillar (Restraint)
This Biblical “Self Control” . When we exercise restraint, it’s knowing that I am safe, am satisfied and content.
When at times that I lose my SELF CONTROL, I say awful & destructive things in hurting others. And I have a separation from GOD
So by exercising RESTRAINT, is having THE POWER TO STAY CLOSE TO GOD
Restraint keeps you safe. A life without Self Control is dangerous. It’s the notion, “Do whatever we feel that is good. Who Cares about others feelings. I Don’t Care”
So when we are reckless we are in danger, we put ourselves in danger in our Relationships. We are addicted, distracted, and broken emotionally & monetarily
A life without boundaries is dangerous to the people around them
When they don’t like you, they are unbridled with your heart, they Rage, and you asked what mood are they in? This is a Borderless Life . There is NO FILTER and this is a problem
Proverbs 29:11
Fools give FULL VENT with their rage. But the wise bring calm in the end
Proverbs 4:2
Pay attention and gain understanding . I give you sound learning so do not forsake my teachings
The exposed life (Without walls - without restraint) has a cluttered heart . Everything we do comes from this place. GOD does not want to control our heart But HE has created us to guard our heart , to have the capacity to not allow things to take root in your heart.
Raymond Ortlund says. “Something else is in charge.
Without self control, every appetite becomes a tyrant”
Daily thoughts & actions pass through a gate, a gate of self control. A gate is restraint . An exercise of discipline. What should I let in? What should I let out?
GOD shows us how to Let it out of your heart. HE will es**rt it out of your heart (Pain, defensiveness, anger, irritability, restlessness)
Certain things will hurt and weaken “The Gate of Restraint”
Pastor Eric shows What WEAKENS the Gate of Restraint:
PRIDE : useless conflict . I won’t let you talk to me that way. I will show you
ANGER : if you are hot tempered, it stirs things up
HURT : a crushed spirit - who can bear
FEAR : fear of man
Is the enemy run through the gates / in your city that is destroying inside
Pastor Eric continues: Restraits & Self Control is not a personality, it’s a character
GOD is able to build these walls and rebuild ruins . We have a GOD that is able. This is what we want - to rebuild the gate. This restores stability, bring us peace, helps us deal with anxiety and fear.
The city (You) will be whole. GOD gives you power to show MERCY. You are sons & daughters of the MOST HIGH.
Our HEAVENLY FATHER knos who you are. Your identity with HIM allows you to RESTRAIN. I no longer have to treat you the way you treat me. Thanks be to GOD
Proverbs 9:10
There are guards at my gate, I have protection . However We have a part to play . What does GOD want. What does HE want me to do . HE is up to something.
Take Control of your mind. Curse what you consume, What you ponder. What happened 20 years. Let it out of your heart. “Let it out of the City”. Take those thoughts captive
Proverbs 17:28
Slow Down / Chill. Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent & discerning if they hold their tongues
Proverbs 28:26
Identify what rules you.
Those who trust in themselves are fools. But those who walk in wisdom are kept safe
Renew your Mind.
I default to the old ways, so renew your mind. You are not always right, GOD is
Pastor Eric ends by saying, n the Book of Proverbs, it does not tell you everything
HOWEVER, it tells the “HOW & WHY” Of doing things. This matters more - than what we DO
Check your motives. Make sure HOW you do, that it glorifies GOD
WISDOM is about transformation. Souls are changed & renewed. We are transformed in prayer, by worship, by the WORD
HELP make my motives pure . However it does - may it please you GOD
Let my WHY be right
May GOD give us wisdom to build a house that is safe . To be at peace

Our New Life Church Men’s Bible Study Group Saturday Hikes😇
Our 5th This summer👍🏽
We did Margaret’s Way to see Debbie’s View (at the Cougar / Squak / Tiger Mountain Corridor)

We AMATEURS (Warren & Jermaine) took our sweet time 🤣AND This was our longest hike this year.
6.5 Miles ROUNDTRIP
3.5 Hours to the Highest Point - Debbie’s View (1730 Ft)
AND 3 hours to get back down🤣
As I ALWAYS say, Its all about “FOOD / FUN / FELLOWSHIP”
We spend QUALITY time as we connect, have conversations - in order to get to know one another 😇
Getting out - away from our busy city lives - to get out into nature - is so NOURISHING to our SOUL🙏🏽
AND what is better, is we are sharing “LIFE TOGETHER”
On this hike, we saw a Ghost Plant. We never knew this kind of plant existed 😱We also saw Garter Snakes (5 in a group) basking in the sun ❤️
AND we end our hike at our FAV Mexican Restaurant @ La Fuente in Renton👍🏽

4th Hike
@ Shangri-La Trail

It’s our Opportunity to hang out for FOOD / FUN / FELLOWSHIP 😇
Today, my Good Friend & Brother in Christ (Warren Henderson) & I are heading out to Cougar Mountain. This is one of many hikes on 3000+ acres!
There is such PEACE out here hiking😃. It’s so NICE to get outside of our busy “Hustle & Bustle” lives during the week and to simply “DISENGAGE” and get outside and enjoy the beauty & experience the tranquility of hearing birds chirping and looking at the lush natural vegetation
And as a reward, we ate at the Iron Grill 👍🏽. That coffee cake with lemon / vanilla icing was decadent
And their specialty for breakfast are the Eggs Benedict. I got the Crab Cakes . So GOOD😃
