🔔 Both our church choir and our handbell choir are starting up weekly practices again after taking some time off over the summer break. If you’re considering it, this is a great time to join!

🎼 They meet on Thursdays with the handbells practicing at 5 PM and the choir at 6 PM, starting September 10th. If you’re interested in participating but those times don’t work for you, please speak with our Music Director, Suna Chung, or find us in the office ([email protected]).

📣 We’re starting something new this fall...open game nights at PUMC! Both Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering multiplayer games will be hosted, but if you want to bring your own board game and get a round of Scrabble going, feel free to come play! ✨ We’re excited to share this space for people to come together to enjoy some fun and community. ❤️ Hosted campaigns will be open, family-friendly, and beginner-friendly—so don’t be shy if you’re new! Tabletop Sundays will be held every other Sunday from 1-5 PM starting on Sunday, September 13. 🏳️‍🌈 PUMC is an affirming and inclusive Christian congregation located in downtown Puyallup. ☀️ Our social media manager is back from vacation and we can finally share some BBQ clips! 👏 Shout out to everyone who participated, but special congratulations to Eileen Hart and Evan Moak for winning first and second place in our first BBQ competition! 🏆 Thank you to everyone who brought food, helped with the cleanup/setup, and to our band, The Found, for the amazing music that they prepared in a mere two weeks! 🎸 We hope everyone had a fantastic time and can’t wait to do it again next year! 🥳

🔥 Campfire Kick-Off: Come Spark Something New!🔥

Join us as we gather around the campfire to celebrate the beginning of the Puyallup Valley Youth Co-Operative (PVYC)!

The PVYC is a newly formed community of local, LGBTQ affirming Puyallup Valley churches working together to create a safe, welcoming, and youth-led community where young people can build friendships, ask questions, and explore their faith and spirituality together.

We believe we are stronger when we are together—and we’re excited to see what we can build together!

Youth in grades 6–12 are invited to participate, and the Campfire Kick-Off is also open to friends, families, and prospective volunteers who want to learn more, meet the people involved, and explore ways to partner with this new community.

Come gather around the fire, meet some new people, and help us spark the beginning of something new in the Puyallup Valley.

All are welcome. There is room around the fire for you.

🏆 Join us for a potluck BBQ with live music this Sunday here at PUMC! There will be a competition with prizes and a separate category for vegan BBQ, as well! Bring a side dish or a dessert to share for the potluck if you’re not making an entree for the competition.

🎸 Happening from 5-7 PM on 8/16 in our back courtyard. We’ll have a live band playing blues, country-folk, and classic rock, and what’s sure to be some great food—we know how you roll!

☀️ So grab your lawn chairs and picnic blankets and let’s enjoy a fun summer afternoon together!
