Way to Go!! Troop 505
Eight scouts and two adult leaders from the Troop participated in The Pacific Harbors Council's 2023 Ten Mile Night Hike at Camp Thunderbird. (https://scoutingevent.com/612-2023NightHike)

The Scouts had a ton of fun, braving the dark and windy and wet weather and came home with tired feet and stories to tell.

Filled with a sense of anticipation and adventure, the scouts relished in the opportunity to learn the essentials of packing backpacks efficiently and the art of trail navigation. As they traversed the scenic trail, they were captivated by the beauty of nature unfolding around them. Setting up camp in the midst of the wilderness, the scouts reveled in the camaraderie as they prepared backpacking meals, shared stories around the campfire, and forged lasting memories. This transformative experience instilled in them a newfound appreciation for the great outdoors and equipped them with valuable skills for future outdoor adventures.

Troop 505 scouts participated in a memorable Scout Sunday event alongside our chartering organization, Peace Lutheran. Together, we extended a warm welcome to the congregants, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience as we assisted with usher duties, read scripture, and even hosted a delightful fellowship snack table. Interacting with the members of the church community was a joyous affair, and we are immensely grateful to the Peace Lutheran congregation for graciously including us in their worship service.
