Attention parents with students at Generate Camp.

I want to let you know that we are looking at potentially leaving early on Friday morning because of all the rain we’re going to receive from the tropical storm. We will continue to look at the forecast and if we need to leave even earlier, maybe Thursday night, if needed. I’m just worried about the interstate getting shut down because of all the flooding that will most likely occur. Stay tuned. we’re watching and we will let you know.

Our Generate Lead Team comprised of 13 students and 3 adults left this morning for Generate Camp in Ruston, LA. They will be serving along side Generate staff this week.

LEAD TEAM allows for a small group of older students (10th grade through college) to be a part of GENERATE by serving alongside our staff. Our students will participate in: staff devotions, staff meetings, hands-on leadership development, worship production, recreation, and support roles.

The rest of us will leave tomorrow morning for the same camp! It’s going to be an awesome week!

Please pray for our students, adult leaders, camp staff, worship leaders, and our camp pastor.

Pray for:

Open Hearts: Pray for a receptive, quiet heart free from everyday distractions to hear from God through worship and word.

Bold Choices: Ask God to give campers courage to make life-changing decisions and take new steps in their personal growth. To let go of things that are keeping them from drawing closer to God.

Lasting Impact: Pray that the camp experience creates a strong foundation that carries over into their daily walk and devotion after they return home.

Camp Leadership & Staff: Pray for camp directors, speakers, and worship leaders. That they will be used by God to point others to Jesus.

Servant Hearts: Ask God to renew the energy of the volunteers and staff who are pouring their heart and soul into the campers.

After having to cancel our tour several times we finally made it to New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary this morning! We had amazing time touring the campus, seeing the new worship studio, and making connections with staff and students. Aydon and Dr. Johnson thank you for taking the time to talk to Matthew and Elijah about the Serve Nola gap year program and the Music and Worship department.
