We had 80 students for our first FCA Wednesday of the 2026/2027 school year!

Thank you Kenzi and Shelbie for bringing devotion and Daniel for our closing prayer!

Thank you Corinth Baptist Church Cassville, Missouri and Tasha Griffis for our amazing breakfast of Casey's breakfast pizza! It is always a hit with our students.

God is good! We are so thankful for our community and all they do to support our students. They are a beautiful blessing and extension of Christ's love through all their support. We are blessed beyond measure here!

🙏❤️ What an incredible blessing!

This afternoon, our FCA students had the opportunity to do a prayer walk through our school district, lifting up every classroom, office, hallway, gym, locker, and every other space where students, teachers, staff, and families gather.

We prayed for our teachers and staff—for wisdom, strength, encouragement, and joy.
We prayed for our students—for protection, good choices, confidence, and growth in faith.
We prayed for our school—that it would be a place filled with safety, kindness, learning, unity, and God’s presence.

What a powerful reminder that prayer is not just something we do. It is something we carry with us. We are so thankful for students who are willing to step up, lead, and cover their school in prayer.

Our mission is to see the world transformed by Jesus through the influence of our students, school, and community. What a blessing to see that mission lived out right here in our school! 🙌
Our school district is truly our mission field!

We will keep praying. We will keep believing. And we will keep lifting up our school to the One who is in control. 💙🙏

🙏 FCA 7-12 Student Prayer Walk Today 🙏

🤷‍♀️ Who: any Purdy student entering 7th-12th grade
📍 Where: Meet at the High School Gym Entrance
🕐 Time: 2:00 PM

During this time, students will walk through our school district with FCA sponsors, praying over classrooms, lockers, and different areas as we prepare for the upcoming school year. 🙌

⏳ This will take about 30 minutes to 1 hour — a small investment of time with a big impact on our schools and community!

🙏 FCA 7-12 Student Prayer Walk – Coming Soon! 🙏

We had such an incredible time at our Prayer Walk these last few years that we are doing it again! This special time of prayer is open to any student entering 7th–12th grade at Purdy.

🤷‍♀️ Who: any Purdy student entering 7th-12th grade
📅 When: Sunday, August 23
📍 Where: Meet at the High School Gym Entrance
🕐 Time: 2:00 PM

🌟 Day 5 – Part 2: Homeward Bound 🚐❤️

🛣️ After an incredible week of serving, it was finally time to make the journey home!

🚻 There were plenty of pit stops and potty breaks along the way… each one bringing its own adventures, laughs, and memories. 😂

🥪 We stopped at Subway for dinner to refuel before finishing the final stretch home.

🤣 The miles were filled with nonstop giggles, jokes about Ms. Coy’s driving (The final curb count was only three for the whole trip), random conversations, and just the right amount of chaos. This crew definitely knows how to make a long drive entertaining!

💙 As the road stretched on, we spent time reflecting on everything God did this week—the people we served, the friendships we built, the lessons we learned, and the memories we’ll never forget.

⭐ We couldn’t be more proud of this group of students. They worked hard, served with joyful hearts, represented our community so well, and were absolutely amazing travelers all week long.

🙏 Thank you to everyone who prayed for us, supported us, and made this mission trip possible. We are heading home tired, grateful, and forever changed by what God did through this week. Until next year Mission Arlington/ Mission Metroplex… ❤️🙌

🌟 Day 5 – One Last Day of Serving ❤️🙌

🌅 It was an early morning as we packed up our church “base camp” and played a real-life game of Tetris to fit all of our luggage, supplies, and sleepy students into the vehicles! 🚐🧩

⚽ Before heading to work, we found out that the park right across from Mission Arlington has been all week hosting celebrations for the Jordan National Soccer Team during the FIFA World Cup! It was pretty neat to see the excitement and be right in the middle of all the World Cup festivities. 🌍🎉

💙 Before heading out, we had to say goodbye to sweet Miss Tillie. Thank you for your kindness, hospitality, and for making us feel so loved this week. We can not wait to see you again! Mission Arlington has Purdy FCA’s heart!

📚 We spent our final morning organizing school supplies once more, filling bins so they would be ready for easy distribution to students and families. It was a great way to wrap up our week of serving.

🍔 One last stop at In-N-Out before leaving Texas!
😋 The students are now officially converted into In-N-Out lovers… and we can confidently say Ms. Coy did not coerce them into it. 😂 But her Texas-loving heart is pretty happy they all approve! 🤠❤️

🥤 With full bellies, grateful hearts, and countless memories made, it was finally time to hit the road for home. 🚐💙

🙏 This week has been filled with serving, laughter, new friendships, and seeing God work in so many ways. Thank you to everyone who prayed for us, supported us, and encouraged us throughout the week. We are heading home tired, but with hearts that are incredibly full. ❤️

🌟 Day 4 – Full Hearts & Full Days ❤️🙌

🥫 Started the morning serving at the food pantry. It was such an eye-opening and humbling experience for our students as they saw firsthand how many families rely on the generosity of others.
🛍️ We also found a need we can help meet! The food pantry is always in need of plastic grocery bags, so we will be collecting them throughout the entire school year to bring back with us next summer. If you have extra bags you would normally recycle or trash, we would love for you to save them for us! 💙

🥪 Lunch at the church before heading back to our favorite afternoon stop.

🏡 Back to Dylan Apartments with our besties! We shared another Bible story, practiced our memory verse, and spent the afternoon playing, laughing, and making memories with some pretty awesome kiddos. 💙
😴 We squeezed in a quick break, and it was definitely needed! This crew has been working hard all week, and the tiredness is starting to show—but so is God’s goodness.

🌶️ Dinner at Chili’s followed by a sweet treat from Crumbl! 🍪
💛 A huge thank you to Tasha Griffis and Shanda Yardley for loving on our students and treating them tonight. Your kindness was such a blessing!

📖 We wrapped up the evening with Bible study, cleaned up our church “base camp,” and got a head start on packing for tomorrow.
🚿 Now it is showers, 🎮 a little game room fun, and 😴 off to bed so we are ready for one last day of serving before we begin the journey home tomorrow.
❤️ We are so thankful for every lesson learned, every friendship made, and every opportunity God has given us to serve this week.

🌟 Day 3 – Serving & Smiles ❤️🙌

📚 Started the morning organizing books, moving supplies, and helping prepare materials for the community.

🥪 Lunch at the church with the crew before heading back out for the afternoon.

🏡 Spent the afternoon again at Dylan Apartments where we shared a Bible story, practiced a memory verse, and had so much fun playing with the sweetest kiddos 💙

😊 From games and conversations to lots of laughter, it was another great day building relationships and sharing God’s love.

🍽️ Dinner at Lazy Dog was the perfect way to refuel after a busy day of serving.

🛒 Made a quick Kroger run to grab lunch supplies for the next day.

📖 Wrapped up the evening with Bible study and time to reflect on all God is doing this week.

🍦 Then it was time for ice cream and game room fun! There may have been some friendly competition, plenty of laughs, and memories made along the way. 😄

❤️ We are so thankful for the opportunities to serve, grow together, and love on the Arlington community one day at a time. Ready for day #4!!!
