💚 Community Blessings Available Today 💚

Although our office is closed today for Friday operations, we are thankful to share that Giant Eagle graciously provided donations for our community. These items are available on the front table until gone and will be first come, first serve.

To help make sure as many families as possible can benefit, we kindly ask that each household please take no more than 4 items. We also ask everyone to be respectful and considerate of others while stopping by.

We are so grateful for the continued kindness and generosity shown by Giant Eagle and for a community that continues to care for one another. Sometimes even the smallest act of sharing can make a big difference in someone’s day. ❤️

We will have Sheetz items available beginning at 10:00 AM right inside the front door. Please stop by and see what’s available! 😊

🕥 The office itself will open at 10:30 AM and remain open until 4:30 PM.
🛍️ The Giving Table will also open at 10:30 AM when the office opens.

If you arrive before 10:00 AM, we kindly ask that while waiting outside, you please keep the front door area clear. Thank you for your cooperation and patience! ❤️

🍩❤️ Tomorrow, June 5, is National Donut Day! ❤️🍩

Did you know that National Donut Day has its roots in the history of The Salvation Army?

During World War I, brave Salvation Army volunteers known as the “Donut Lassies” traveled to France to support American soldiers serving on the front lines. With limited supplies but plenty of determination, they made and served donuts to the troops, providing not only a sweet treat but also comfort, encouragement, and a reminder of home during difficult times.

In 1938, The Salvation Army established National Donut Day to honor these remarkable women and their service. What began as a tribute to the Donut Lassies has become a celebration of compassion, sacrifice, and the impact that small acts of kindness can have on others.

As we prepare to celebrate tomorrow, June 5, take a moment to remember the legacy of those who served with love and dedication. Their mission continues today as The Salvation Army works to bring hope, help, and encouragement to communities around the world.
