As we enter the 2026 Season of Pentecost, also known as the Feast of Weeks (Shavuot), we reflect upon one of the most significant appointed times in Scripture. In 2026, the Festival of Weeks began at sundown on May 21 and continues through May 23. This Biblical feast celebrated the first fruits of the wheat harvest (Exodus 34:22) and, for Spirit-filled believers, also commemorates the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the New Testament Church recorded in Acts chapter 2. Pentecost remains a meaningful season to honor God’s faithfulness, rejoice in the work of the Holy Spirit, and renew our commitment to walk in His peace, wisdom, and power. PerryStone.org
In Exodus, 10 day journey from Egypt to Mount Saini, Moses was with God for 40 days on the mount gives us Fifty Days-Pentecost. Moses descended the mountain with the Law (demonstrates the separation between people and God) on the Day of Pentecost in Acts the Holy Spirit descended connecting people with God.
After 40 days when Moses returned he was faced with two groups, the people separated by actions formed by their attitudes and their attitudes formed by their opinions and feelings. Hope vs Fear.
