This song has meant so much to me lately. My prayer is to become completely abandoned in my everyday walk with the Lord.

Isa 40:4 “Every Valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; the uneven ground shall become level, and the rough place a plain”

This was a prophecy of the ministry of John the Baptist. God made it where everyone would see His glory through Jesus Christ. John’s message was to Repent for the Kingdom is at hand. Jesus has revealed the Glory of God to us and no one (who has heard the Gospel) will have an excuse for not having favor with God. Israel was chosen by God to be His people, now everyone who repents from their sins and believes in Jesus has the opportunity to become Children of God. What will you do with this message? Believe or not? Repent or choose to live in sin? Have an eternity in heaven or eternity in hell?

Lord, thank you for making the uneven ground level. Thank you for showing us Your glory through your son Jesus Christ and I pray that everyone who reads this will self examine themselves and see they are in desperate need of your grace and mercy. That we will all be humbled by our sins and lifted up by your grace and mercy alone! AMEN

PS: 18: 1-2
I love you , Adonai, my strength! Adonai is my Rock, my fortress and deliverer, my God, my Rock, in whom I find shelter, my shield, the power that saves me, my stronghold.

Why is it we see this verse in times of trouble or in times of distress and it speaks to us? I fear that too often I run to Him only when times are hard. But why don’t we thank Him for being these things to us in the joyful times? He never stops being our deliverer or our Rock or our Shield. Let’s remembe to give Him the glory and thank Him for all that He is in our lives everyday, not just days we are struggling. He is worthy of our praise and He is the only place we will find salvation.

Lord, thank you for You. Thank you for everything you are to me and everything I take for granted that you have given me. You are my Rock! You are my Fortress! You are my deliverer! My shelter! You are my strength! And you are my Salvation forever and ever, AMEN.
