These little homes represent a lot more than buildings to us.
They remind us of the people we have met, the families we have walked alongside, the long days, the prayers, the setbacks, the lessons, and the reason Compassion Village exists in the first place.
Over the years, one thing has become very clear to us:
People rarely need just one thing.
A housing need may also come with food insecurity, transportation problems, counseling needs, loss, isolation, or simply the need for someone to stay present when life feels uncertain.
That is why our work has continued to grow beyond housing.
Through outreach, food support, our Mobile Compassion Center, partnerships across Maui, and simple acts of care, we want to keep meeting people where they are and walking with them however we can.
We may not always know what the next season will look like.
But we know who we are called to be.
Love God... Love our neighbor... Keep showing up! ❤️
