Have you ever wondered what Jesus thinks when He looks upon this world He created? What does He think about its current nearly 8 billion inhabitants?

We look at a nation and think "population." Jesus sees souls.

We look at people on the street and see people. Jesus sees souls.

We look at people at church and think, "friends." Jesus sees souls.
We look at TV news and see people with problems. Jesus sees souls.

We look at people at work and think, "colleagues." Jesus thinks souls.
We look at a packed sports stadium and see a crowd. Jesus sees souls.

We see a school full of children and think, "students." Jesus sees souls.

We look at people at concerts and think, "music lovers." Jesus sees souls.

We see the ragged and unkempt sleeping under bridges. Jesus sees souls.

We look at the crowds at the mall and think, "shoppers." Jesus sees souls.

Jesus looks at people all over North America – and around the world. And He sees souls. Does he smile when He sees yours?

On his deathbed in 323 BC Alexander The Great has been reported as summoning his generals and told them his three last wishes.

1. Only the best doctors should carry his coffin.

2. The wealth he had accumulated (money, gold, precious stones) should be scattered along the way to his burial place.

3. His hands should be left hanging outside the coffin for all to see.
Surprised by these unusual requests, his most trusted general is reported to have asked Alexander to explain his request, so they did it right. Here is what he said:

1. I want the best doctors to carry my coffin to demonstrate that in the
face of death, even the best doctors in the world have no power to heal.

2. I want the road to be covered with my treasure so that everybody sees
that the wealth acquired on earth, stays on earth.

3. I want my hands to swing in the wind so that people understand that we
come to this world empty handed and we leave empty handed after the most precious treasure of all is exhausted - Time.

Time is our most precious treasure because it is limited. We can produce
more wealth, but we cannot produce more time.
When we give someone our time, we actually give a portion of our life that we will never take back. Our time is our life!

The best Kingdom of God present you can give your family and friends is your time. May you have the desire and wisdom to give it as Jesus did.

(Then why it's important to you - today.)

"Oh, I see...
You want to be FIRST.
You want to be GREAT.
You want to be IMPORTANT.
You want to be SIGNIFICANT.

Well, you OUGHT to be.

New You --- Understand Danger as Jesus did.

Jesus protects those who love Him and steer clear of danger.

Raccoons go through a glandular change at about 24 months. After that they often attack their owners. Since a 30-pound raccoon can be equal to a 100-pound dog in a tussle, Tom felt compelled to mention the change coming to a pet raccoon owned by a young friend named Autumn.

Autumn listened politely as Tom explained the coming danger. I’m sure Tom will never forget her answer. "This will be different for me!" Then Autumn smiled as she added, "Rebel wouldn't hurt me. We have a special bond."

Some months later Autumn underwent plastic surgery for facial lacerations sustained when her adult raccoon attacked her for no apparent reason. Rebel was released deep into the wild.

Sin often comes attired in an endearing disguise, and as we entertain it, how easy we say, "This will be different for me." “I can handle it.” “There is no problem here.” “I’ll manage this situation, just wait and see.”
Prayer: Father give me the insight to recognize danger and the backbone of Jesus to flee from it. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!

Scripture: Mark 6:34
“And Jesus, when He came out, saw a great multitude and was moved with compassion for them, because they were like sheep not having a shepherd. So He began to teach them many things” NKJV
New You --- Radiate compassion as Jesus did.

Compassion is simply love in action.
It's the heart of a mother who sees her child in danger.
It's the security of a father that consoles his hurting son.
It's the protection of a shepherd for the defenseless sheep.

When we are filled with more compassion than fear, LOVE WINS.
But when we allow fear to be greater than compassion, fear wins.

Does fear prevent you from emulating the compassion of Jesus?

Invite the Holy Spirit to fill you with love and compassion that will override fears.
Prayer: Father fill me with Your Holy Spirit that I will see people with eyes of compassion as Jesus did. Help me embrace them with understanding. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!

Empires come and go --- regional wars of the past have given way to world wars and now we experience electronic wars and outer space wars.

All wars started with the internal war begun in the Garden of Eden --- which continues today. Which inspires our individual search for Righteousness.

Following are six of the many Biblical characteristics and examples of Righteousness.

1. The righteous do not take bribes
Exodus 23:8 “And you shall take no bribe, for a bribe blinds the discerning and perverts the words of the righteous” NKJV

2. The righteous are delivered from trouble
Psalm 34:19 “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all”

3. The righteous are kind and considerate to the poor
Proverbs 29:7a “The righteous considers the cause of the poor” NKJV

4. The righteous receive the favor of God
Psalm 34:15a “The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears are open to their cry.” NKJV

5. The Righteous leave a legacy; will be remembered fondly
Psalm 112:6b “The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance” NKJV

6. Earnings of the Righteous are honorable
Psalm 37:16 “A little that a righteous man has is better than the riches of many wicked” NKJV
