MISSION STATEMENT:
Beit Elyon is a congregation brought into being by the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob. We believe that God has raised up Beit Elyon Messianic Synagogue to be an educator of the good news (gospel) of Messiah Yeshua. The central purpose of Beit Elyon as a congregation is to acknowledge and worship HaShem as Avinu Malkenu (our Father, our King). This is accomplished through the edu
cating of Jews and Gentiles in His Word. Beit Elyon is a place where the children are to be nurtured and the adults are to be encouraged to fellowship with one another as a Messianic community. STATEMENT OF FAITH (Excerpt):
There is one God, as declared in the Shema (Deut. 6:4) who is infinitely perfect, existing eternally in unity. He has revealed Himself to mankind as Abba (Father), Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah, the son) and the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit). Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah) is true God and true Man. He was conceived by the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) and born of the Virgin, Miriam (Mary). He died by crucifixion, the Just for the unjust, as a substitutionary sacrifice, and all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood. He arose from the dead according to the Scriptures. He is now at the right hand of the Majesty on high as our great Kohen HaGadol (High Priest). He will come again to establish His Kingdom of righteousness and peace and will reign from Jerusalem over all creation. The Ruach HaKodesh is a divine personage, sent to indwell, guide, teach and empower the believer, and to convince the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. The Tanach and the B’rit Chadasha (Old and New Testaments) are inerrant as originally given, were verbally inspired by God and are a complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men for Jew and Gentile alike. They constitute the divine and only rule of Messianic faith and practice and dwell in harmony with each other. Man was originally created in the image and likeness of God. He fell through disobedience, incurring thereby both physical and spiritual death. All men are born with a sinful inclination, are separated from God, and can be redeemed only through the atoning work of Yeshua HaMashiach. The unrepentant and unbelieving person is subject to existing forever in conscious torment, whereas the believer in Messiah will experience everlasting joy and bliss. Salvation has been provided through Yeshua HaMashiach for all men, Jew and Gentile alike, and those who repent and believe in Him are born again of the Ruach HaKodesh, receive the gift of eternal life, and become Children of God.
