Stop trying to fix your life with a fresh coat of paint! Real change happens from the inside out.
Welcome to our Sermon Visual Snapshot! Today's video is based on Pastor Dan Hazelton's current sermon
series called The Difference Jesus Makes and his message Made Holy by Grace at Redemption House of
Prayer in Pryor, OK. This resource is meant for those who can't attend in person, have a different learning
style, or would like to look at the message from a different perspective.
In this visual walkthrough, you will explore:
• The Fixer-Upper House: Why painting the exterior and mowing the lawn can never fix bad plumbing,
dangerous electrical wiring, or a crumbling foundation underneath.
• 1) Grace Meets Us Where We Are (Ephesians 2:8–9): Jesus invites us to bring our mess directly to Him,
but His love won't leave us there.
• 2) Grace Changes Who We Are (2 Corinthians 5:17 & Ezekiel 36:26–27): The difference between
exhausting, external behavior modification and Holy Spirit-led heart transformation.
• 3) Grace Calls Us to Surrender (Romans 12:1): Opening every "locked room" in our hearts to Jesus,
rather than just inviting Him into a tidy living room.
Personal Checkup Questions:
1. Where am I trying to "paint the exterior" instead of letting God fix the foundation?
2. What "locked room" in my heart do I need to hand over to Jesus today?
3. Am I relying on my willpower or resting in Holy Spirit transformation?

Does your faith feel like an exhausting, DIY home-improvement project? It’s time to move from behavior
modification to true heart transformation.
Welcome to Table Talk! Today's podcast is based on Pastor Dan Hazelton's current sermon series called
The Difference Jesus Makes and his message Made Holy by Grace. This resource is meant for those who
can't attend in person, have a different learning style, or would like to take a look at the message from a
different perspective.
In this episode, hosts John and Sarah sit down for a kitchen-table conversation to take a deeper look into
how God's grace practically changes our daily lives:
• God Does the Work (1 Thessalonians 5:23–24): Why trying to make ourselves holy in our own human
willpower leads to burnout, and why sanctification is God’s work in us.
• Behavior Modification vs. Transformation: Why saying "I need to stop doing this" fails, and how the Holy
Spirit gives us brand-new desires from the inside out.
• Unlocking Every Room: How we often give Jesus access to the "tidy living room" of our lives while
keeping secret habits, finances, or past hurts locked away.
Whether you're listening on your commute, doing housework, or taking a break on your shift, we hope
this message encourages you to rest in God's transforming grace today!

✨ MADE HOLY BY GRACE ✨

Jesus didn’t come just to forgive us—He came to change us from the inside out.

This Sunday we begin our new September series, THE DIFFERENCE JESUS MAKES, with a message called “Made Holy by Grace.”

Maybe you’ve been trying harder, doing better, or attempting to change things in your own strength. But what if holiness isn’t about making yourself better? What if it’s about surrendering to the God who can truly change your heart?

“The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.” 1 Thessalonians 5:24 NIV

Join us this Sunday at Redemption House of Prayer (RHOP).

Sermon Snapshot- Shining Light In Dark Places

Stop complaining about how dark the world has become. It’s time to shine His light.

In our latest weekly Sermon Visual Snapshot, we are bringing the core illustrations from Week 4 of our series, "Faith That Stands: Shining Light in Dark Places," directly to your screen.

Jesus gives every believer both an identity and a massive responsibility in Matthew 5:14: “You are the light of the world”. But how do we actually do that when the cultural darkness feels so overwhelming?

Watch this quick, visual walkthrough to unpack:

💡 His Light Shines ON Us (John 8:12): Darkness doesn’t have the power to stop light, and it doesn't get a vote on whether the light is allowed to shine.

🔍 His Light Works IN Us (Ephesians 5:8-13): True love exposes hidden things. Jesus shines His light into our hearts—revealing unforgiveness, attitudes, and habits—not to humiliate us, but to heal and transform us.

🕯️ His Light Shines THROUGH Us (Matthew 5:14-16): We don’t have to manufacture our own light; we simply reflect Christ. Like small candles lit one by one, we don’t have to curse the darkness—we just need to shine where we are placed.

Take-Home Challenge: As you watch, ask yourself the two diagnostic questions from this week's message:

Where does Jesus need to shine His light IN me?

Where does Jesus want to shine His light THROUGH me?

Table Talk Podcast- Shining Light In Dark Places

Ready to take a deeper look at what it means to live as a child of light?

Welcome back to Table Talk, the weekly sermon companion podcast from Redemption House of Prayer in Pryor, OK! On this week's episode, your hosts John and Sarah take a deeper look into Pastor Dan's final message of the series: "Shining Light in Dark Places".

While Sunday’s sermon laid out the beautiful progression of Christ's light, we are sitting down at the kitchen table to discuss what this practically feels like in the middle of a busy workweek.

In this episode, we take a deeper look into:

❤️ The Comfort of Exposure: We dive deep into 1 John 1:9 and Ephesians 5:13. Why is letting the Holy Spirit expose hidden corners of our hearts (like bitterness or secret attitudes) actually the safest and most liberating thing we can do?

✨ Shining Without Grumbling: We unpack Philippians 2:14-15. How do we practically shine like stars in a warped generation without falling into the trap of constant complaining, grumbling, or arguing with the culture around us?

📍 Your Strategic Placement: God has strategically placed you around coworkers, family members, and neighbors that a pastor may never have the opportunity to reach. We talk about how to use your unique relationships to shine.

Whether you're listening on your commute, washing dishes at home, or taking a lunch break at work, we hope this conversation encourages you to shine brightly right where God has placed you.

You’re invited to Redemption House of Prayer this Sunday!

💡 What if the areas of our lives we most want to keep hidden are the very places where we most need the Light of Jesus?

This Sunday’s message is “Shining Light in Dark Places.” We’ll look at how the Light of Jesus shines on us, how His Light works in us to reveal, heal, and change us, and then how His Light shines through us to bring hope to the people around us.
