An Urgent Update About The Genesis Project Provo
Friends of the Genesis Project Provo,
I wanted to share an important update about The Genesis Project in Provo. Due to new fees that our landlord is charging us for our trailer that houses our clothing bank, plus the property tax, insurance and CAMs, on top of our yearly rent increase and utility costs, we are facing the very real possibility of losing the location that allows us to serve our low-income and homeless neighbors. Our location is in a perfect place for what God has called us to do, but if God wants us somewhere else that’s ok too. We would deeply appreciate your prayers as we walk forward through these challenges. Thank you for standing with us and for believing in the mission of The Genesis Project here in Provo, UT.

Our church family lost another beautiful soul yesterday. Our sweet Donna went to be with Jesus and her sister Velma. Donna was so special to all of us, and will be deeply missed.

With heavy hearts, we are sad to report that we have lost our wonderful Velma. She truly reflected the image of Jesus on this earth. Velma taught us how to love everyone—that is what she did best. She had been a member of The Genesis Project, and before that Rock Canyon Church, longer than anyone. She was a faithful servant, wife, mother, and friend. We will miss you more than words can express.
