“You’re not enough.”
The same phrase over and over that tells us that we will never be good enough.
You have a job? Someone has a better one.
You had an unpaid internship this summer? Someone else got a better one and was paid for it.
You still have a 4.0? Well, other people have one while taking more credits and harder classes than you.
You lost weight? Someone else is still skinnier than you.
As YSA we are looking all around, figuring out where we fit in, striving to be good enough. But guess what? We never will be.
Instead of resenting the impossible expectations, look to the one who will always accept you and let the comparisons of the world fade away. Look to God. Seek Him, not the world.
